Ha. My cat got one when he was a kitten, so I know that pain. But that’s the only time I’ve ever had to replace one.
I have system where I’ll use one charger as a travel charger. When it breaks I’ll repair it and just keep it at my desk. This was the one that gave out on me yesterday. Held together w solder, hot glue and electrical tape
Powerbeats Pro $120 refurb Best Buy i picked up a set for that price for gym and running. Damn AirPods Pro fell out at gym today. Then I saw this deal. Done
Anyone got MacBook Pro recs? I’m a lazy asshole that doesn’t want to scroll back through the thread. I have a 13” MBP that I got in 2011, but it’s starting to operate slower and slower. I’ve kept it in good physical condition, but it’s just seemingly not as fast or fluid now. Should I go with the 13” again or just go all out on the 16”? I don’t want an Air. Anyways, thanks for the help.
I’m waiting on the 13” mbp with the new keyboard. 16” doesn’t really seem portable now that I’m used to a smaller laptop. I use it on an external monitor when possible, and keep screen time on just the display to a minimum. But it’s certainly functional at 13”, I used to play Nintendo on a screen that size for hours.
Rumor sites claiming first half. I think it’ll at least be announced in March. I have no inside knowledge but I’m in the market so I’ve been reading updates on rumor sites.
I hate the apple mail app. been using outlook and it’s a little better but still sucks. anyone using something else that they like?
Am I crazy or was I able to press Next or Previous with my left airpod pro when I first got them? They're now both Play/Pause. I went into the settings and it doesn't show any real options.
PeterGriffin With them in, go to settings. Bluetooth Your AirPods You should now have the options to set either one as: Siri, Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Off
I'll have to give it another go, I wasn't seeing most of those options when I checked the other day, just Noise Control and Siri, iirc
I tried Spark and it’s not terrible but it’s not better than the two you’re already using. I hate outlook on MacOS. On iOS and Win10 it’s “fine”.
Spark for personal gmail Outlook for work email. Outlook and Teams on my phone is really hard to beat for work things because of how well they integrate.
Outlook always gives me false numbers on unread emails. Plus it will just randomly not pull new emails. I hate it so much. I think Apple mail might be better
Outlook for personal. Like the focused inbox. Can’t use it for calendar tho gmail app for business. Multiple accounts. Easy to switch between them
I really like Teams but no one on my team can remotely fathom sharing files on a cloud. My boss will send out a spreadsheet to the entire division and spend the next couple of days folding in everyone’s changes into a master file. Heaven forbid two people give an update in a cell; there’s gonna be a meeting or two to sort than out.
I think it only counts like the last week of email. I have like 900 unread emails so it’s fine with me.
That’s my move when I hit 1000. It’s not like I ever make an attempt to have an inbox of zero so I just don’t really care much.
Are the current MacBook airs worth a shit? Buying something tomorrow as my air from four of five years ago had an accident this morning
Worth a shit is a relative term. I bought my mom an Air for Hanukkah. Now that a few months have passed and I dont get 90 “how do I do this” texts a day it’s been great for her. But she basically only uses it as a web browser and photo manager.
Pretty sure this has been brought up, but I’ve missed it. Should I consider the 11pro or just wait for the 12 at this point? I have the X currently and it works perfect, just love the new stuff that’s all.
Just ordered 2x 8gb memory to upgrade from 4 to 16 on my MacBook Pro. Who needs new when you can just change the parts.
That's only reason I was considering. Facebook reviews looked good, but not sure you can trust any reviews now a days.
Their website is pretty cringe to me too. “Just two guys who started a company in Chicago to completely rip off apple’s AirPods design and aesthetic”
My Apple Watch that I got for Xmas has had a crack for a while (don't really know when it happened cause i had a shitty case over it). then yesterday i hit it on my steering wheel and looked down and the screen was dead. It's still partially functioning because it was tracking my location still but it's mostly dead. Does every one of my options end with buying a new watch? Or do I have hope for an affordable repair? Don't have AppleCare, and I'm guessing my dad bought it refurbed or something cause it was a Series 3
I know my mom cracked her screen a couple of years ago & to replace it cost almost as much as a new watch, but since then I don’t know if any cheaper repair options have come up
I think it’s cheaper to buy a new refurbished watch than to repair it. When I cracked my screen the replacement was almost as much as a new iPhone screen.
Pulled the face of mine series 2 straight off the watch because it got caught in a closing door, about 2 weeks after I got it - no AppleCare. Cost me ~200 to get the screen replaced. I have a protective cover around mine and used to put clear screen cover on it, too, but haven't done that with my 5. I climb with it on so not protecting it isn't really an option. It would be scratched to hell in about 2 weeks.
