Is she licking it? Or having issues with it?

My dog used to have something a little like this with a nail hanging out, he was playing with it a little as a 3-4 years old but it didn’t seem to bother him at all. It was not that nasty though.

Rescue we're fostering him from says Rott/Heeler mix with some other stuff thrown in. Most chill dog ever inside, well behaved on a lead, total asshole/comedian (depending on what kind of mood I'm in) off a lead.

Licking it occasionally. Looks like it may have popped? She’s weird and doesn’t like me touching her legs so she gives me the business when I try to look. Mean bitch.

Had a feeling that’s what it was. Figured I’d let her do her thing until she seemed to be really bothered by it. Thx bro

Could be a histiocytoma. Benign growths that can bleed, itch, and irritate. Could watch it for the next few weeks - may get better, may not. If it is bothering the dog, I would advise the foster group to consider having a vet remove it. Can be susceptible to outside infections.

Miles has been throwing up bile in the mornings roughly every 4-5 days. Anyone dealt with this? We feed him at ~7am, 1 pm, 7 pm and there's rarely food in the vomit.

Feed him a small meal right before you head to bed, empty stomach will cause a morning bile session

Probably going to pick up a golden retriever puppy this afternoon. I haven’t had a pup since 2008 when I got my bloodhound Otis. I think I’m more excited than my 6 year old daughter.

My dog is 13 and when I walk him he still does a running faceplant/dive in the grass and then proceeds to get dead bermuda grass all over him.

People drive by and he's just kicking his legs in the air like a dumbass while I hold his fresh shit in a bag

She’s been awesome so far. Super sweet and seems to be pretty laid back. Really loves to snuggle. 3/3 on peeing outside, 0/2 on puppy dumps.

Didn't get a picture, but just caught a bass in our pond. Showed it to the new pup, he was totally disinterested. Walks away from me to continue chewing on his stick.

    Here's a different pic anyway.

He was 29.6 lbs at the vet this past Wednesday when we went for his 2nd round of shots. 13 weeks old. He's slowly getting coordinated, but he's still a big lug for now.

Our soon to be 10 year old Shar Pei has had numerous health issues since November. At the vet visit today, we agreed the best thing for her would be to put her down.

I’ve been a mess all day, but my wife and I want a little bit of time (provided she is comfortable) to spend time with her, take her to do some things, feed her great food, etc.

She (and our boy) were our first dogs as adults, so we have never been through this process. Anything really recommended do with her in the little time we have left?

Also, we have the option of taking her into the vet (we can say goodbye or be with her as she goes) or having someone come to our house (but we would have to carry her body out which I’m not sure I can handle). Any advice?

I'm sorry. I freight that day with Dierks as he's 7 now; I wish this didn't have to happen for you guys.

Be in the room with your dog when it happens. Ice cream, juicy steak, sit in the sun, pat her head, let her see any dog friends she may have, get some mud footprints for memory, throw a party for her and seem happy as can be.

Give her all of the junk food and do everything that she loves to do

And like Emma said, be with her no matter what. Either option is fine tbqh. Just don’t leave her when she passes over the rainbow bridge. Cruelest and most selfish thing that an owner can do imo.

Opie is 9 now so I think about it more than I should. I know I’m going to be in the room with him, God willing. But I won’t be able to take his body after it’s done; I don’t have that in me. I’m not strong enough.

thanks for the advice. I told my wife I was going to be with her until the end. Not sure if she can do it.

yeah it would be nice to be able to do it in her home, but that was the big issue.

Got some bad news today. Love of my life possesses both alleles for Sharpei Fever Syndrome. Not sick yet but shortens his expected life span quite a bit. Gutted.

I'm very sorry y'all are going through this. We just went through this about a year ago when our yorkie developed liver cancer. On the day we had to make the decision my wife and I both took a half day off of work so that we could spend time with her before it happened. My one piece of advice would be to take the entire day off of work if possible and soak in every last second of time with her on that day. Also take as many pictures and videos as you can.
