Checked in to the hotel an hour ago. Hitting Galaxy's Edge first thing tomorrow morning. Not sure how the Magic Morning is going to help us, but wife has told the kids to be ready to go at 6:20 am
We are up and getting ready to head out soon as well. Got in last night around midnight, and one of the guys never got his bag from the Magic Express, so he's pretty pumped at the moment.
120. Took some time to figure out how to link tickets and have multiple phones do the boarding request. I think boarding passes were gone within about 45 seconds. They're up to 93 now, so we should be good to go in the evening. Got some awesome Savi's footage of everybody lifting their new lightsaber except for my youngest, whose didn't light.I Was expecting more from Oga's
Scheduled Savi’s for my daughter and nephew. Won some cash on football squares this playoff season and figured “fuck it”. Looks like a really cool experience. I’m almost certain I’ll get a little teary-eyed when everyone lifts up the sabers and the music plays.
We had to take one of the sabers back in the evening because the parts didn't fit correctly and part of the handle kept coming loose. Person I talked to tried to downplay it and tell me there's a little play in all of them and I just shouldn't try to unscrew anything while wielding the saber. So I showed her a simple motion that caused everything to come loose and insisted that for $200 this shit shouldn't fucking happen. That finally convinced her that I wasn't leaving until things were fixed. Got the chassis replaced, with stronger threads. Then went to the neighboring store and bought a yellow kyber crystal. Rise of the Resistance is a good ride, but not a real game changer IMO. Boarding group 120 got called at 7:30, we got on to the ride at 9:10. Wife didn't think the ride was worth a 100 minute wait in line, and she was the one who was hottest to get on it beforehand.
They really just need to release like an animated short or something that completely retcons episode IX.
It was definitely a wait. Disneyland at night rocks. Between dinner and leaving at 10:30 we hit the Incredicoaster, Midway Mania, then Space Mountain, Star Tours, Astroblaster, Matterhorn, Pirates, Thunder Mountain, and Smugglers Run. No lines for anything, just walked on. The longest wait was at the ice cream shoppe.
I doubt he knew the extent of it, because in RotS he has the realization that Anakin is the father of her child.
He probably thinks it's innocent flirting OR he doesnt want to be a hypocrite because he was probably willing to walk away for Satine
Yea, it's clearly an important scene because it shows that the relationship wasn't that secret, but the extent of it, Obi-Wan doesn't know. Spoiler
wow can’t believe you would just give up on the pod racing video game and shadows of the empire like that
I wanted to include the X-Wing series and the Corran Horn stand alone but just couldn't. Maybe the X-Wing/TIE-Fighter games since they brought in the TIE Defender, TIE Avenger, and Thrawn
Rise of the Resistance broke down twice yesterday, once as we were in line ( down for an hour) and once while we were on it. We were ushered out and given priority fastpasses to come back later in the day when it was running again. Went back later, jumped the line, and our fastpasses didn't work. Was ready to get nasty when they just waved us through - seemed to be a common problem and they didn't want a riot on their hands.
I would give anything for a 2.5 hour video of Lucas’s face as he watched this “movie” for the first time
the fact that “IX” didn’t end with a flash forward of R2 crash landing in Argentina in the 70s shows that it isn’t canon
post-credits scene that revels R2 actually had possession of Luke’s hand the whole time, shoots it out and it’s in the form of flicking us all off
I’m laid up at home with a busted ankle so catching up on lots of shows Season 3+ of clone wars is like an entirely different show. Honestly don’t think 1-2 is even worth watching
Finally finished up all the “essential” episodes of CW and rebels. Truly fantastic stuff and really elevates Episode III. Dumb to wait this long to watch but glad I did.
Btw ep 3 that was just released was fun action but not much in the way of story Spoiler wrongly assumed one of the bad batch would eat it
Hot opinion alert: Ahsoka telling anakin she knows why he would want to leave the order is the deepest moment in Star Wars. I get why y’all love rebels. I do too. But that moment between the two is just perfect. Almost as perfect as revenge is not true Jedi way, and her saying I’m no Jedi.
Good moment but you always knew something like it was coming because of rebels placement in the timeline
Doing a community watch of all the star wars movies w/ a buddy from grad school that hadn't seen any Star Wars movie until this week (don't ask). His review of ANH? "That was actually really good". In the middle of Empire now...
Not even going to show him I and II. Probably actually finish w/ ROTJ and R1 and then see where we're at. Not seeing Star Wars has been a badge of honor for him for 10+ years so we need baby steps.
