Nah. All house dems will be back in their districts running their own campaigns. A bunch of R senators won't have to do that.
Lol these are the same people who would have rather seen us dip into a global depression than pass an emergency bailout to prevent it. I expect nothing less from these morally corrupt piles of shit.
Good thing this huge disruption in our ideology that shows the real problems with our social structure will be completely wasted.
Well, if it comes to a point where there is massive death, we’re more likely to lose those who stonewalled progress, so we have rhat going for us, I guess.
Can't wait for journalists to point out Trump's lies tonight in real time as he tries to show leadership during a national emergency.
i expect him to stick to prepared remarks and not say anything idiotic until his morning Twitter rant
I don't know. It seems like this is well thought out and carefully planned. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/11/politics/donald-trump-coronavirus-economy-health/index.html
Watch how quickly this goes from “this isn’t a big deal” to “*it was all Soros, now get in your bunkers”
Obviously I was foolish to initially think competent members of his staff had talked him into sensible action.
That’s not how it works, anyone with sensible ideas who is willing to tell them to him gets fired, assuming they would even bother hiring such a person.
If it gets really bad, I could see all of these cowards just disappearing into that nuke bunker in VA or wherever it is now.
I think all the bank execs in the room today understand there’s a huge problem, but you are going to make absolutely no progress and probably go backwards with small hands unless he thinks he’s right. All those banks, publicly or not are instituting continuity of business plans right now. Wells has, not publicly, enacted what must be a protocol deep in the emergency playbook whereby necessary staff are (already) working from emergency locations that are held for like end of world type events where trading floors, etc become unusable. it’s unacceptable that we have to baby a President at all, much less in a situation like this, but banging your head against a wall in order to say you banged your head against a wall as a matter of principle is not productive or valuable when the stakes are what they are. Again, it’s unacceptable and impeachable, all that, that we’re having to have this discussion but solutions aren’t perfect and with the stakes involved, we’re going to have work around and through the moron in charge in order to create the best outcome for society if the people with the power to remove him don’t have the moral courage to do what is right.
Why does he always sound like Orlando Johns in Office Space when he first comes to the door to sell magazines
