Yea most around us were sitting through Sturg's set.

 

He called out some guy leaving towards the end of the set in Charlotte. Dude was wearing a cowboy hat and Sturgill said 'where ya going cowboy' or something to that effect

 

Me and my buddy were the only people standing in 122

 

I don't go to concerts to sit down.

 

I go because I like lines for$8 domestic drafts and to buy a tshirt. Also may have sat momentarily last night.

Here’s the set after Sound & Fury. Think it was almost identical to the night before.

 

God I hope it's similar to that come Nashville. That's plus S&F is such a great set to me.

buddy is a waiter at a pretty nice restaurant in charleston. said sturgill came in for lunch yesterday. he tipped $50 on a $100 bill and took a bottle of their carolina reaper hot sauce to "prank tyler childers with". also left two tickets at the door for him for the concert last night

Lol I’ve got tix for Friday in Hampton. Was wondering whether to still go or just eat the tix.....

 

organizers (read: suits) would likely pull the plug, not the artist.

 

Wife asked this morning if I thought we should skip it. I’m planning on going unless they do end up cancelling which I don’t think is likely by Friday

 

Planning on going to a Mavs game on the 26th & the concert at the arena the next night. 95% sure both will be canceled

 

Think I got to eat that show. I got little kids, an immunocompromised Mom, and a 95 yo Grandma that I see often. Fack.

 

The Anthem (DC) canceled all shows until April 1. Sucks. I had great seats for this Sunday.

 

Houston Rodeo (Arena concert series) cancelled all shows. Will see how dallas handles it. I have tickets to his show here in roughly 10 days.

 

Glad I didn’t pull the trigger on tickets for the Denver show. At this point I’d be surprised if the tour continues.

 

16 days. It ain't happening.

 

Especially if the NBA goes to fanless games. Why would the let a concert go on and contaminate the arena when they aren't allowing fans into the arena otherwise?

 

Smaller concerts than Sturgills have been cancelled lots of places yesterday and today. Hard to imagine the tour continues.

 

I better not be out 1300 for tix and hotel for NYC

Got tix for Sturgill and Bob Weir & the Wolf Bros back to back nights in Columbus. Doubt either happen.

 

Going Saturday with three couples, one of which is pregnant. Obgyn told her not to go.

 

Just dropping in to say I went to the show in Atlanta and I thought the show was incredible. The super country fans were not very in to it though

 

Sturgill on insta talking crap to the people who walk out. So I guess he is seeing it. I wonder how many people are really paying ~$80 to see TCC?

 

He didn’t say much at the show I went to, but the energy was definitely different. He knows though. He still just puts on the best show he can the way he wants to do it

 

fwiw I think "cowboy hats" is more of a euphemism than a reference to people who are actually wearing cowboy hats.

 

Still no update from Hampton...they were promoting the show on social media as recent as yesterday afternoon. If the rest of these shows (including Sat, Sun and Mon) have been cancelled, I don’t see how they proceed with tomorrow.

 

I think we’re out now. Disappointed but have a 3 month old so it’s the smart decision. Really hoping they call it off today. It’s close to sold out but I imagine it won’t be more than half full

 

where I was sitting in Charlotte, it was lots of fratty, agricultural-looking, young potato-faced couples, and lots of them left a few songs into sound and fury.

 

I would've thought that's the target market for Sturg.

Probably the right decision. The GM of the Embassy Suites in Hampton right next to the coliseum is a family friend, so I asked my Dad to reach out to him this morning. Will keep you guys posted if I hear anything either way.
