I’m sure it depends on where you live, but people near me are just going to use this as an excuse to party non-stop, aka not take it serious. Unless the bars are forced too, majority won’t close. Actually the bar business might be the only winner here.

I've been arguing with idiots (including my family) all day who think this is a glorified flu and will pass in a few days. I just really hate people sometimes.
Coachella postponed. Lots of other bands are cancelling/postponing tours. Spring is gonna suuuuuuuck.
I'm proud of officials at the locat/state level. They're really trying to get out in front of this. Cities, schools, sports, universities, etc. are leading the way.

Then they fail to realize then flu has a 0.1 percent death rate. If a 3 percent death rate virus gets out of control we are fucked, not to mention the impact on an already strained healthcare system. I really hate politics but we as a nation fucked up, and calling it a flu and that it will just go away set a terrible example.
i think i have it. coughed a couple times a couple days ago, but other than that i felt fine. i was still feeling fine yesterday, but i decided to self-quarantine anyway as a family member i recently interacted with said they started to have a sore throat and feel hot/cold (not much of a cough though) that morning. this morning, felt fine...same story, but as the day’s gone on i’ve been feeling sick (hot/cold, throat tickle, kinda out of it, no fever though). family member called local hospital seeing if they could get tested, but turns out they didn’t make the threshold (no fever, shortness of breath). i haven’t called for testing since i’m likely in the same boat, nothing to do but watch guardians of the galaxy and wait this out. please respect my decision and no interviews at this time.
My kid just sneezed. I’ve yet to decide who I shall bequeath my likes to once I RIP. Please respect my decision.

Alabama continuing to harp “no confirmed cases.” Local business, charities and schools are having to make the tough decisions on cancellations and quarantines while a lot of folks are still carrying the “its no big deal” motto. So fucking dumb. It’s everywhere and if we don’t spit Trump’s dick out of our mouths trying to pander to whatever we are pandering too we are going to get railed in this.
