I've got some good shit. Charmin extra soft, double roll. lmk if you would like to trade. I'll meet you halfway.
If they close yes, they shouldn't have to though. They just need to institute WFH for back office and run on minimum in office personal. Close the lobbies, have people use online/mobile banking, drive thru, etc. It's not rocket science. Take some precautions to protect your people. They're a local bank with only about 65 employees. If they don't take necessary steps and 1 person brings that shit in it and spreads they are fucked.
You want it to mutate. Coronavirus, like the one we have here, are made up of RNA. Unlike DNA, which will proofread and spell check itself during the genetic copying stage, RNA in viruses haphazardly copy and replicate itself with little thought. When a virus mutates or copies itself, it often ends up with a neutral or more harmful state of itself. Mutated viruses are typically more infectious and harder to fight off through science or the immune system, but weaker in terms of symptoms and what it does to your body. Anyways, we start to see an attenuated virus, which is a weaker, less virulent form of itself. Attenuated viruses are used to create vaccines.
that painfully long stanfurd presentation made it pretty clear that every country starts out with an inflated death rate because at that point they're only seeing/counting serious cases. Once they get a handle on accounting for mild and moderate cases that number goes down
I mean, not every company has been as negligent as some(cough, not us, cough) in building 'emergency' capacity. But, if Canvas/Zoom, et all, aren't ready come Monday. Woof
I just realized that somewhere in the US a family has stocked up on rolls of TP and that family has young boys that are going to use that TP to toilet paper another person’s house.
That sucks. My guy lives less than 5 minutes away and rides his bike over. And he lets me know when he’s going out of town. Gotta say it’s a great set up.
I’ve learned my lesson and am not taking any chances. It is locally sourced bats for me from here on out.
Trump finally going to declare national state of emergency. Wonder what the talking point will be about the fake news creating panic over nothing.
Not good bob. Neither is this from rivals: South Korea Numbers: Population: 51.47 million Average age: 40.8 years Obesity rate: 34.6% Smoking rate: 23.3% (2016) Total tests (as of March 9th): 210,114 Total positive cases: 7,979 (202k NEGATIVES) Total deaths: 71 (0.8%) Critical care: 93 (1%) *current Mild symptoms: 7305 (99%) So 3.79% chance of being infected there, 0.8% of death currently. *reminder they also had a super spreader in a massive church cult that they implemented severe tracking and tracing measures, which would lead to pretty high positive case ratio. Also, majority of South Korea is self quarantine where they track your personal data. They have not restricted travel within the country or closed off any locations. Only quarantined one entire apt complex as their most extreme measure to date. Estimated total cases on those numbers (reminder, their cases curve has now leveled currently) 1.95 million effected: 156,000 dead 19,500 critical care Let's compare numbers here based on that. Population: 327 million Average age: 38.2 Obesity rate: 39.6% (per 2016) Smoking rate: 15.5% (2016, lower now) Total tests: 8554 Total positive cases: 1832 Total deaths: 41 (2.2%) Critical care: 10 (1%) *current Mild symptoms: 1750 We have more similarities to South Korea in regards to age, lower smoking rate, etc than we do with Italy. So if we use South Korea's numbers with USA population because people keep calling SK basically the gold standard here in testing Total infected: 12,099,000 (3.7% of population) Total deaths: 266,178 deaths Critical care: 120,900 Mild symptoms: 11,978,010 ***If my math is wrong, please correct me
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said debt relief for student loans and help for the hard-hit airline industry are under consideration for the next coronavirus rescue package. Speaking to CNBC as a deal was imminent on a separate, near-term package that includes paid emergency leave, Mnuchin said President Donald Trump has no intention of closing financial markets. Mnuchin also said: Congress and the administration have "100 things on our list” for the next possible package, and added “The president wants a stimulus package." Financial authorities are ready to provide liquidity to parts of the economy taking a hit from shutdowns. A “big rebound” in economic activity could come by the end of the year, drawing a contrast with the Great Recession that began after the 2008 market meltdown. "This not like financial crisis where people don't know when this will end...By the end of the year, we're going to expect we're going to have a big rebound in economic activity," he said. Asked about suspending student debt of three months, Mnuchin said: "That's on our list of 50 different items we're bringing to the president for a decision." He added. “We're like in the second inning of getting things done. We'll be passing more legislation." He’s spoken to the airlines: "That is the next priority on my list," Mnuchin said while also mentioning hotels, the cruise industry and small businesses. Tariff rollbacks are not under consideration by Trump.
My weed guy is coming in to town today. I’m about to spend every dollar I have on his supply to stock up for the apocalypse might need to run up to Walmart and grab some more snacks and Kleenex tho since we still don’t have TP
One of my friends from HS who is quarantined in Italy was asked, What sort of things are you doing to make sure that the virus doesn't come into the home - are you holding things in front of the house for a period of time, or what? that’s a tough one and almost inevitable if in fact it lives on money and vegetables etc. As it is, everyone is expected to use gloves in the produce aisle (even before CV19) but there’s only so much one can do. Plus we can no longer enter stores without a mask and you don’t touch anything if you don’t have gloves on....We’ve been out only slightly today and we’ll change as soon as we get home. We do have to stop at two food stores near my home but it’s only one person allowed in those smaller specialty stores and you just hope the employees are working under best hygiene practices.
Lol, South Korea is healthier than us, started preventative measures earlier, and made testing widely available. We are going to be hit harder, not equally.
