Down to my last hole on my belt and my pants have been loose all day Smoking meats this weekend so too many beers will be consume . So I'll be interested to see where I'm at on Monday
Sorry if covered already, but has anyone tried doing strictly Carnivore diet? I'm on week 3 and I've never felt better.
GAME CHANGER Unbun keto rolls Woodman’s has them in the frozen breads. Just made a breakfast sandwich and they are pretty solid. Don’t add anything but 100% do not take anything away. Gotta limit myself on the to maybe 1/day. Plus they’re $8 for 4.
Making carne con papas sin papas tonight in the instant pot. First time making it, first time ever using an instant pot. Basically an beef stock, an onion, a green pepper, garlic 2lbs of sirloin chopped up, tomato sauce, diced or mashed tomatoes and some sherry and spices. Sautéd the beef and put everything else in and set to stew.
Fun fact. You can put on 8.4 lbs during a “ski weekend” in Northern Michigan for 3 days eating and drinking whatever you want. Woof.
I think I have the keto flu. Last night I started to feel like absolute ass. My entire body is sore, my head is killing me, I'm cold, and I have a cough... That, or I've got a real sickness.
Started doing a chocolate whey and peanut butter powder shake this morning. 1 cup unsweetened almond milk. I had some chocolate protein powder, which has 4 net carbs so the 4 from the PB and 1 from almond milk made it 9 net. Picking up some isopure zero to cut that to 5. Might cut the PB at some point too. 5g net carbs, 220 calories, 4.5g fat, 31g protein. I had been taking in 6g net carbs, 460 cal 42g fat, 25.5g protein each morning with sausage and eggs.
I've done more than a full week of 20/4 IF and I can feel the results. More consistent energy levels. My appetite during the day is completely gone. Almost have to force myself to eat. No cravings whatsoever.
Am volunteering at the kiddos elementary today Forgot to pack lunch Keto ain't easy to pull off in an elementary cafeteria
Hello fellow Keto bros, getting back at it. Going to try and lose about 20-25 pounds in the next 3 months. I have no idea if I’ll be able to do it. It will be 10-15 pounds less than my lowest weight and a weight I can’t seem to ever get under.
IF breakfast 3 eggs 1tbsp coco oil 1/2 cup cheese 4 strips of bacon 5 oz of shredded chicken 62/2/86 F/C/P
Gettaway weekend with the wife. Came off Keto yesterday, just had lobster Mac and cheese. So good but I'm so full.
Found some zero net carb bread in stock at an Aldi. They had 3 wheat and two seeds. I tried to buy all five and they would only sell me two.
I’ve got a bunch of bacon frozen, sacks of almonds, and lots of jerky and pork rinds. I’m ready to ride it out.
I have a cheap 8" one. I use 1 egg beaten and mixed with 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp almond flour, and a little s&p. Mix in 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. Get the waffle iron hot. Put a little shredded cheese directly on the bottom half of the waffle iron and let it melt a little, then spread the batter over it and close the lid. When it stops steaming, flip it and do with same with the cheese directly on the waffle iron on the other side. Will have two crispy sides.
Mildly annoyed by MyFitnessPal. I either have to create new foods or mentally note to adjust for net vs total carbs on a bunch of foods.
I never used to like almonds. They were always something I’d pick out of the mixed nuts. But now. I’ve caught feelings. 2g net carbs for a 1/4 cup is something I can fuck with.
Hard goat cheese and red onion omelette folded over bacon, then folded into a toasted tortilla and a par parm folio with mayo.
I’m actually doing better at home because I fell down with fast food, which will be limited by not leaving as much. Stock your house properly for success, devine My issue has been calories. I’m eating mostly keto foods, but more of it because I’m in the kitchen a lot. Work kept me away for 10 hours a day.
Made stand up shells with wheat mission wraps, avacado spread, and cheddar folios. Filled with chorizo, sauteed red onions/garlic, bell pepper, tomato, lettuce, sour cream, and scotch bonnet hot sauce.
Figuring out that keto is a lot more enjoyable and sustainable when you’re not at work/commuting 16 hours a day. Bc I’m bored and wanting to contribute more to this thread, here’s a list of some meals I’ve either made or will in the next week or so. I hate the monotony of avos, eggs, ground beef etc meals Spoiler Corned beef and cabbage Kielbasa and sauerkraut (wegmans has great/clean private label kielbasa. Also make your own sauerkraut, it’s fool proof and is unpasteurized=Gut fauna) Chicken Thai curry w/ coconut milk Baked steelhead/sockeye salmon (stupid Easy) Reverse sear strips/ribeyes Bolognese w/ grass fed beef, basil, ricotta/mozzarella Braised oxtail (dat collagen...) Turnip greens with bacon & apple cider vinegar Fried eggs with sesame oil & sriracha Scrambled eggs with scallion & ricotta or sour cream Caesar salad with grilled chx breast, anchovies, parm snacks Spoiler Caramelized onion dip (sour cream and mayo, limit the onions bc they go a long way and are carb dense. Add some AC vinegar) Red pepper dip Smoked salmon dip w/capers and red onion Guac (I add celery salt and cumin) I also bought some keto friendly cauliflower pizza crust to put in the freezer. Not because I ever plan on actually making it, but it will keep me from phoning for delivery if it ever gets to that point
What did you eat the onion dip with? I was thinking of using it as a spread for roast beef sandwiches. Not many chips out there other than Quest chips.
