Between customer service and self check out were several pallets of Royal Oak. App says 44 bags still in stock
Apparently that Acton road drive through found 7 new cases of covid from 1,500 tests and a shitload of type B flu
You can then freeze a portion of the gumbo for later. Gumbo and red beans and rice are still great after being frozen
I tried to tell my wife to start rounding up supplies for the past 2 weeks while I've been busy working long hours. Now I'm having to listen to her bitch about "no stock" and "high prices" after she drove all over Ttown this weekend shopping for groceries.
Just heard that we should know more in about an hour regarding whether work will send everyone home or not. So glad that everyone had to come into the office with over a thousand people only to possibly be told to go home. Great fucking leadership.
Very fluid. Work. I was at a friend's house yesterday when they received a call from their boss at the United Way right after they left a meeting with Woodfin, Frank Stitt, and other people involved with the food bank who met to discuss upcoming restrictions and food planning. That letter aligns with what my friend heard from their boss.
We have to close bars and at least make restaurants go curbside delivery only. I eat out every meal and go to bars all the time. It has been damn near impossible to self quarantine and if things stay open people assume it’s safe to go.
My girlfriends in the same boat. They even sent an email Friday about rubber gloves and not speaking. What a joke. She is taking PTO tomorrow.
Also, I guess botanical garden should be OK till they close it, right? Assuming you stay away from people and try not to touch things? They've closed down the buildings there to the public, thankfully.
Was really hoping Bham would step up and do something today. Good people and Avondale just announced closure.
Forgot to post this yesterday: True Story Brewing (that opened in Shoppes of Crestwood last year) just made an expansion play into the Seasick Records property. They are going to be hurting big-time for money. They're doing take-out and growler fills curbside. Might want to throw something their way (or buy a gift card) in the next few weeks. It's been cool having them in the neighborhood.
Hopefully if there is a full shut down Vineyard will be allowed to stay open as a grocery store. Bologna and miller lite diet for me at that point.
I'm torn on whether I should go get a haircut today. Need one pretty badly already, and I imagine I should go now before things get worse. Any thoughts?
Some friends of mine in Bham created this site. https://local-distancing.webflow.io...N69sfbWflIHOYrW-Uirr_cqXZOFm1BzjvLqnfwSV6xamA
I went to Crestline Barbershop several times a few years ago. Unfortunately, I had to change barbers after a few cuts because the proprietors got comfortable enough around me to spew their overtly racist opinions.
Oh I think that Tony and Vineyard will be fine. Not sure about the others. ElectricDreamMachine I honestly don't go to TSB enough to know the beers well. I know they said they were out of growlers, so if you've got any/some, I'd just take them and get a little bit of everything. They put stuff up on FB/IG a lot.
just sent my Barber a text to try and schedule a cut and she said the health department shut them down
