If the Masters is in jeopardy this year, they should just replace it with the Allister McKenzie Invitational at Royal Melbourne in December and consider it a major. I'm sure RM and ANGC could work out some reciprocity agreement.
My club is now closed. You can walk but no carts or pins. We have EZ locator so they can download app to see where the holes are. I don’t know about your areas but our gyms, bars and restaurants are closed by the county so we are following suit. No employees on site. Not naive enough to think most of us don’t have this virus, but multiple members have tested positive and were using the club this weekend. You don’t want to get in the way of members walking, but offering too many services seems irresponsible in our area with closures in all other facets.
All of your restaurants are closed?! Ours are just limited to offering either drive thru or carry out only.
Ive got buddies in Nashville suburbs. They haven’t closed bars or restaurants at all in the county. One one hand they have members looking for reduced dues due to work difficulties on the other hand they have 100 tee times booked for Saturday. The variance between places a few hours away is wild.
I'm just uneasy about some stranger handling my food and transport in a car that has been bussing people around
Bad news: my club’s team match play 3 day tourney is cancelled. Good news: you can come walk the course still.
Been pitching back and forth in my backyard a lot the last couple of days. But that’s not too unusual for me...
Really need the weather to warm up a bit in Michigan and not rain when it does. Our course opened last Thursday for a day and then again yesterday. Sat is a high of fucking 37 though. Same as what others have said. Elevated cups so no one touches the flag Limited carts and even then only one person per cart unless an immediate family member Proshop closed. Bag staff will get your bag one time and then you need to keep it until this is over Practice range is limited to give 6' of space between each person
I've read about a couple courses locally doing the elevated cups.....I assume Jigga will get his first 1 this way and we'll have to break it to him that it doesn't count.
My course just said that all flag sticks are to remain in at all times. They also took all rakes out of the bunkers.
Interesting reaction by Fried Egg with Shackelford that golf courses should be looking for ways to capitalize on this and make a more sustainable way for golf forward. Cliffs - cutting maintenance budgets could be a good thing - courses should be looking to fill the void left by people not going to the gym for an hour. 4-6 hole loops for example
My course had already canceled the member tournament and just recently canceled the invitational that they hold yearly. Augusta better get their shit together or I may move on.
hit 100 full swings and 50 chips in the back yard this afternoon. just the best therapy during isolation.
There's still some workers around so they would recognize whether you were a member or not but if you're feeling lucky, go for it!
DJ to Stenson to webb simpson. Combo of DJ driving power to Stensons Ball striking should hopefully give simpson a tap in for the jacket
