And with the 172nd pic the NE Patriots select....Shea Patterson, QB Michigan. Then he goes on to win forever
Slay isn't worth that money and is declining - that extra 3rd would be a quality player in a better GM's hands. Solid new WR territory.
The thing I'm happiest about is Birkett and others in media can hopefully stop talking about Slay while pretending all the PR is about anything other than Slay being a good quote. Slay didn't want to be here. He was bad last year, and clearly had issues with the scheme and Patricia. A lot of that is on Patricia, but it happened and they had to move on. Slay was pissy about his contract last year, skipped a bunch of stuff, didn't care, and ended up sucking. That probably wasn't changing this year.
Theres no one that can say this roster is better in any descernible way that last year's. Judging from these moves it seems like they are setting up for the pick to be the d-tackle from Auburn
There's gonna have to be a massive housecleaning after this season. Can't wait to rebuild from scratch all over again.
So when we fire these guys next year, we will be looking for a veteran offensive coach that is loved by his players. Jason Garrett, come on down.
I would say it’s a push. Maybe we are slightly ahead. Barring an amazing draft that lands three above average starters, we are anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7. Probably just competent enough to keep everyone around another year.
Slay, a three-time Pro Bowler, told the Free Press on Thursday that his lack of respect for Patricia stems from an incident that happened in training camp during Patricia's first season as Lions coach in 2018. "He told me in front of the whole team, in the team meeting room, showed clips of me in practice getting a ball caught on me or so in practice," Slay said. "I posted a picture (of a wide receiver on Instagram), and he told me, stop sucking this man’s private. So I’m like, 'Whoa.' I’m like, 'Hold up.' Where I’m from, that don’t fly. Cause I wouldn’t say that to him. I wouldn’t say to him to stop you know what to Bill Belichick. I wouldn’t do that. That’s just not me as a man. That’s disrespectful to me and so from there on it was done with."
One Lions source, who spoke to the Free Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter, said he considered Slay "a major cancer" last season and that "he would sit in meetings and not pay attention" then "go into the locker room and tell other players how the coaches are full of shit."
shut the fuck up smeegsgreen you’re a complete and utter bitch who needs to ask his wife’s permission to jerk off.
Basing everything off last years performance Vatai for Wagner - Improvement Trufant for Slay - Push Collins for Kennard - Improvement Williams for Robinson - Downgrade Shelton for Snacks - Push Daniel for Driskel - Improvement Harmon, Kearse, etc - Fine depth To me it boils down to Collins vs Glasgow. Glasgow is a very good OG while Collins is a very good LB. I tend to think that for this team, the position Collins plays is more important to the teams success than an OG. Just my personal option. With that being the case, Collins provides a far larger impact on the team than Glasgow does. All the other roster moves are pretty much coin flips.
Stafford has been an awesome member of the community. Can’t wait for the team to draft Justin Herbert to replace him next month.
