Finished work for the day, got high, cracked a beer, and turned it to DDD. Except Tournament of Champions is on. Goddammit.
I actually resent my city for not having any DDD locations in it. We need the kingmaker to visit some local diners, drive-ins, or dives. Show me the flavor, Almighty One!
6 years ago, I turned inward and saw what an ironic monster young adulthood had made me. Now I love Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar and you can call me a rube but i am having way more fun than you.
Not gonna lie me and the wife got hyped when Chef Darnell beat Bornacelli in the 1v8 matchup on ToC He’s incredible and has an awesome story
Gold jacket green jacket she got fucking wrecked. It was embarrassing and she should feel bad. Literal shit tier quesadilla.
I really like ToC, and have been keeping up with it, but please don’t disrupt my weekly DDD binge for it. I’m scared to look and see it DDD will be starting at 2 or not this afternoon
So I’m on hour 3 of my marathon watch today and I figured out something else that sets Guy apart from normies. He likes to bring his family to these places, but he never makes it about them. It’s more like “hey my family eats here and loves it, yours will too.” Completely selfless and another example why he is a national treasure and is to be protected at all costs
One of the best moments in DDD history is when he randomly kisses a woman eating at the bar and then he’s like “jk this is my wife”
Not sure if this had been shared here. Guy did Brian Koppelman’s (Rounders, Billions) podcast a few years ago. https://open.spotify.com/episode/0eLU88Wu9e1kUo82FzAXfU?si=U3jyh4bpRlyVLyCkdgWCfA
So they're doing a 3 episode DDD digital check in thing next week. Looks like Guy and Hunter trying to cook along at home with some DDD chefs.
No lie, we went up to FSU/BC a few years ago and I wanted to plan my food tour around that place. Turns out it was during his annual 3 weeks in Italy and they were closed. I was heartbroken.
Have stayed at the hotel they stayed at when they filmed and the employees said and Guy and the crew were cool to them. Also, Rino’s is pretty great.
Food network has been showing a lot of GGG and I completely forgot that Carl Ruiz died, he was full of so much positive energy
