Me and Frank watching Fake News. Missed Flex Friday and am just trying to be comfy running around everywhere for supplies so whipped out the trusty zebras. Awesome Asian old lady neighbor brought me some toilet paper. She called for bottled water knowing I was at the store for tp and she said she had plenty.
Crazy thing is they didnt sell out anywhere online and there are that many more pair sitting in stores stockrooms that are waiting to be put out on the shelves in stores reopen. They might as well just cut the price in half or give them away. Retail was little steep anyway.
I'm curious how stores are going to handle stock during this. Like the Duck Camos, will all just be sold online?
Yeah Ive wondered about that too. I know theyve pushed a lot of stuff back but I dont know exactly how far ahead of releases that shipments to stores run so besides those IV's from today and probably some Yeezys at different places, I wonder what is chilling in stockrooms right now. And like you said how are they gonna handle releases like the Duck Camo.
The store here normally gets their pairs the week of the release. I know they don't have Duck Camos yet. They've closed the store too.
https://www.adidas.com/us/ultraboost-20-shoes/EG0695.html Getting those at a discount price and then using the march30 promo code for another 30% off was nice. Pretty sure that code works for everything on the site except maybe stuff like yeezy’s and the Pharrell 4D shoes. It did work on the regular 4D shoes.
I’ve said it here before I don’t like the AJ1 highs because they look like fishing waders on me because I have shorter legs. Mids are stupid. I do however really like the lows. I’ll probably get crushed for saying that but if I’m going with an AJ1 it’s a low.
I sent her a check isn't that surprise enough? There will start being more sales as companies try to stay afloat
Haha showed my wife those shoes and said I picked them up for her for working so hard on the new house and for work (she’s an urgent care nurse) and she said “eww, I don’t like those. Those are ugly. Maybe your mom will?” Good start to the morning.
I ordered last week at 106 then they offered an additional 10% off. Called for a price adjustment and it’s “against company policy” so fuck you adidas, ordered again and will return the other pair ultimately costing them more in shipping than the $12 they could have just refunded me.
Yea I dont think Nike does it either, which is dumb. They know we can buy again and return so what's the point?
Realized how much of a cheap ass Iam too. Sale plus code got them down to $88. When I put my info in it went up to $94 because of tax. Seriously sat and debated about it for a minute over that $6. Buying things online was a lot more fun when no one was charging tax.
finally scored the playstation huarache promos at a decent price he wouldn’t say, but i think he’s selling off stuff to cover his nut while being out of work been hunting them for a while
I have a legitimate problem. Cleaning out my desk area in the basement and have had these just sitting here for 6+ months. My complete inability to turn down a “good deal” needs to stop.
Trying too hard to track stuff at a granular level and don’t want to deal with adjustments. Amazon does this crap too and it has to cost them money to accept a return instead of adjusting the price. But probably less than just automatically adjusting it or adjusting it if someone asked.
Honestly they probably come out ahead bc a lot of people, myself included, are too lazy to buy again and return.
Not technically. I got a pair of 19's but from everything I can tell they seem the same as 20's to me. Not sure if they are or not though.
ill be interested on your thoughts knit/toe cage is worse IMO and they have this weird plastic/rubber heel thing to hold it in place but is super uncomfortable to me
Oh 100%, but I’m as petty as they come and for the amount of adidas I’ve bought there should be something in place for this. For the record Nike adjusted the price on the Olympic Kobe xi for me 3 times without me having to do this buy and return nonsense.
For the 19's I have I agree. The knit isnt as good as whatever they did with previous versions. Its way more stiff and doesnt flex enough. Makes them fit tighter than before. Its almost like they are using the knit making a tighter fit in place of some of the inside padding older versions had. That would be ok except that this knit just isnt as comfortable against your foot as the old prime knit was. The heel lacks a lot of the padding that was in past versions. Like most of it honestly. There is one little pad on each side around the ankle and thats it. Ive noticed I can feel the plastic heel cup digging in a little on the inside of my left heel but I dont feel it at all on the right shoe so I dont know if thats a me issue or a quality control issue or what. I guess I'll be able to tell when I get the 20's and can compare since both have that kind of heel cup. Overall theyre comfortable and I like them but theyre below all of the previous versions imo. Im glad Ive really only liked a couple of the colorways so far. This version isnt one I want to load up on. I do think they look a lot better on feet than in pictures though.
How do they know you haven't worn them? I mean technically someone could buy a pair, where them daily for 6 months, see them on sale, and call Nike to get a partial refund.
I bought them a week ago originally. I could have worn them and still returned per their 30 day return policy. I’m not talking months I’m talking the shoes delivered on Wednesday, went on sale for a deeper discount on Friday.
