The one I have doesn’t state the years aged. I wonder how many it is. But I was more so making the point that Peerless Rye is good and the Peerless Bourbon is meh
I bought the Peerless bourbon for a customer on recommendation from this thread and he didn’t like it so thanks guys fuck.
Yes, I agree. Peerless has only been around for a little over four years or thereabouts since they reopened. Their whiskey is very young.
Made a run to TW with the GF and convinced her I should buy more stuff because, you know, the quarantine. Ended up with Elijah Gregg Rye (it's found its way to SC), Woodford double oaked, and a Glenmorangie Quinta Rubanan 14 yr...along with a 4 pack of beer and 2 12 packs of beer samplers. Made Old Fashioneds all night and feeling solid. Anyone with a solid recipe, please do share. Mine were fine but it was a 1st attempt so any and help is appreciated.
I'm trying to see if I took a picture of the first bottle so I can compare proofs and see if they're different batches
I have the 109.5 and the 111.3 small batch. Neither stands out to me. I haven't opened my single barrel yet.
My 110.3 was good but not worth the price. Take that batch and add 4-6 years in the barrel and it’ll probably have some great character.
Does anyone have any strong feelings on Makers 46? Thinking of grabbing a bottle to go with some RR10, Michters rye, and 4RSBS to take me through the quarantine, but have never had it. Just wanted to grab a wheated bottle i havent tried before....could also grab some larceny?
Makers 46 is good. I’ve only had one bottle but I liked it much more than regular makers. Larceny is a fine cheap bottle. My wife thought it was smooth. I’m not a huge wheater but I like both.
Anyone have a bottle of William Larue Weller they would be willing to part with? Our COO is leaving in a month or so and that's one of his white whale bourbons.
This, except I'll just use this board. I've already seen enough of these pressers to know that I can't do it. Had to do the same with the shit Kemp just put out.
What's the range? Or PM me if you want. AFAIK, price isn't a big concern... until I learn otherwise from the big man.
