Yes for real. Hopefully none of those things will happen. But if a depression occurs, this is the sort of thing that will happen. And it will effect 30-50 year olds more than anyone, meaning kids will be hurt as a byproduct. That's why it's so frustrating when you're discussing the economy and people hand wave it with "but my stonks are more important than grandma." Grandma doesn't want me to live through the 30's that she had to experience.
