yup but FSU has had some success there, and Miami to a lesser extent OSU is one of the schools that have done well there, same with UGA
it’ll be interesting to see. Usually Bama has a few elite assistant guys on the recruiting trail on their staffs and this staff I’m not sure there is 1
Mims and Ferguson the two OL in Ga I know they're recruiting hard. Dallas Turner is another player they're battling us for but I'm not sure he's top 50.
The two 5* kids in Alabama this cycle are expected to go else where? Wow. I guess I hadn't really paid much attention to Bama's recruiting.
Oh, gotcha. I think Schumann has locked in on him. I'd really like to get him, Carter and Mondon, but would take any 2/3 and be happy.
Nah not really but it just about has to be UM or Georgia unless LSU or someone like that gets a visit. The Michigan people literally wrote an entire article because Jim Harbaugh reached out to him. It's a normal thing for good coaching staffs to be in contact with top targets. For Jim Harbaugh it is apparently newsworthy.
Yea, I saw that. I don't keep up with Michigan at all. Is he just not even trying to recruit? Just from reading how apathetic they are on that board from the fanboy mods to the actual subs, I should probably pencil Edwards into our class.
Essentially, when it started to come out that UGA and OSU were leading for Edwards over UM a month or two ago, it was said that it was because Day visited Edwards at the school while UM sent Gattis instead of Harbaugh. It was also said that Edwards didn't have as close a relationship with Harbaugh as he did with Day, who was recruiting him personally more than Harbaugh. From that point, the fanbase freaked and went crazy about Harbaugh recruiting (or not) and blew it way out of proportion, so now every time he talks to the kid they write about it so people shut up about that talking point. I don't really blame the writers on that one. Harbaugh tries in recruiting. I don't think that's really his issue. I think his issue is more that there's not enough consistency overall as a staff. It's like they'll be all in on one kid for a month, and then they're supposedly looking elsewhere. It's like they get bored sometimes with recruitments that take a while. I think UM has a decent shot at Edwards, though, even if UGA leads and he commits soon.
I honestly don't know. Wouldn't shock me if he did. His coach is a former UM player. Two of his teammates last year are now at UM. UGA doesn't have much of a history of taking players from Michigan. I have zero insight into his recruitment other than what's on UM message boards. Seems UGA probably leads and I could definitely see him ending up there. I just think there's going to be a pretty natural pull to UM down the stretch UGA would have to fight off even if he commits there before the season.
Yea it would be quite the pull out of Michigan for us but when it comes to recruiting RB's we usually get it done. I do think him not UV'ing for G Day could fuck us.
I really don't think that's his issue. I would bet his personality probably helps more than it hurts when it comes to in-person meetings. His issues in recruiting have more to do with organization, consistency, and losing to OSU 5 years in a row.
There's a crew of LARPers that do their thing every Sunday at one of the parks near our house after their former park (still often referred to as Larp Park) was redesigned as a community garden.
