I'll log on later and check to see which ones it is. I think there was one with a time limit that I was struggling with, and possibly one where you can't get hit. Been a while since I've done it though, so no telling what it is
For the take no damage one, wear traveler's armor since it gives you a shield that tanks 1 hit, then just spam Atreus shock arrows and your Runic attacks.
Think I’m close to done with the story, and still in shock over how truly awesome this game is and they’re going to do a sequel? Good luck following this up
I think they had to sacrifice some stuff in order to pull off the "one continuous shot with no loading screen" gimmick they were going for, in the next game I hope they open the map up a bit more and incorporate some more verticality in the gameplay like air attacks/combos.
I hope they stick with the formula. The souls inspo made for an enjoyable gameplay experience. I do hope they add more weapons and maybe some sort of fighting stance mechanic
It’s laughable that the predecessors are technically considered within the same franchise I tried to replay GOW3 and got burnt out with the repetitive button mashing combat
Just finished. About to go back through the thread now that I can read spoilers but I just have to say: goddamn. What a game. I enjoyed the first 3 and this one blew all of them out of the water. 99/10 will play again
I feel like I should’ve done more of the side quests before finishing the story. I feel under leveled for most of the post game stuff so far
The side quests are awesome. The game does a perfect job of being “open world” without sacrificing fun or flow.
I did all the side quests immediately when the boat became available. The way the level design handled the water level dropping from water noodle waking up to reveal more caves as the game progressed is pretty amazing.
Started playing this again. Loving HZD but wanted some more fighting action and remembered how much fun the fighting was in this.
HZD was good but God of War was definitely better in my opinion. The fighting in GoW is probably the best in game I've played.
I’ll switch back but god of war is just so much fun with the fighting mechanics. HZD is amazing though
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order got a good amount of praise so I gave it a shot and right off the bat I just said to myself "Its pretty good for EA standards but it feels like its just a worse GoW and Dark Souls"
Oh trust me, I think God of War is better; it’s just that Horizon is that new IP experience that all users should have
All this God of War talk in the PS4 thread is making me wanting to start a fresh GMGoW playthrough again, haven't touched the game in like a year+, looking forward to possibly breaking my controller again in the Draugr pit.
NG+ not really nearly as challenging, its probably on par with give me a challenge or w/e the 2nd highest difficulty is if not even a bit easier than that.
I love Ghosts of Tsushima but GoW is still hands down the best in that genre. I never even killed a Valkyrie
I’ve never been more devastated at my failure in a game when I came within one shot of finally beating that Valkyrie that just grabs you by the face and plants you in the dirt. I had spent hours on her alone. Maybe even a day or two. it was soul crushing. I’ve never put a game down for my failure. I did there. still the only time I’ve ever done it.
