I think it's only paid back if you're above 99k in income. Portions of it will be between 75k and 99k
I live by two blocks away from a park that overlooks and runs down into the ocean, it’s a really awesome spot in the summer. Apparently a group of moms in my neighborhood has decided getting together and walking their kids and dogs down to that park is more important than social distancing so that’s cool
Where my mom lives they have a pool, playground, tennis and basketball courts and a boat ramp in to the lake. There has been 20-40 people out there daily just all around each other.
Yeah I literally just watched a group of like 10 get together right outside my building and some of them were hugging smh
No, none of the personal payments are loans. Up to 75k gets full $1200. It then decreases at a 5% rate as your income goes above 75k, so at 99k you get nothing.
Wasn't there a study done on the effectiveness of different masks? I'd really like to know how effective different masks are
n95 will block out aerosolized particles the public will almost never run into an aerosolized particle health care professionals/hopsitals etc will so they need them
They’ve always been available at hardware stores/paint stores, but I imagine they are not anywhere to be seen now. But to repeat afb ‘s point, an enormous majority of people will not need anything like that.
I have a friend that works for a wholesaler and he said they were getting N95 mask in 9 days. I wonder if the CDC knows that a bunch will be in and is just waiting to announce that.
thats something that would make sense but they will probably announce it, cause panic, and then the masks won’t show up and people will be fighting for them.
NYU students in the Tisch School of Arts mass emailed the Dean demanding tuition back. This is how she replied.
Until June 30th, or the end of the national emergency in the United States (“whichever is later”), anyone, anywhere in the world, can check books out of this library—for free. As Brewster Kahle, the digital librarian at the Internet Archive, wrote in an online announcement, if you can afford to buy books, please buy books! Bookstores still need your business. But, by God, if you can’t afford them, or if the books you need aren’t in any bookstore, and, especially, if you are one of the currently more than one billion students and teachers shut out of your classroom, please: sign up, log on, and borrow! https://www.newyorker.com/books/pag...gency-library-is-a-gift-to-readers-everywhere https://archive.org/details/nationalemergencylibrary
I assume that anything resembling a decent mask is sold out everywhere. Thoughts on this DIY mask? Skip to 9:10
That has to be a kink thing, right? Look at me I have an excuse to do this outside of the house and make people watch me do it.
I saw these were selling like crazy on Amazon. I considered buying one, but I didnt want to be the dick who was making a joke out of this.
closing the border between KY and TN would be interesting considering how many people from KY come down to Nashville for VU Medical Center
The fact that States are literally turning on each other and banning or quarantining is a direct testament to the failure of the federal govt. This is a national problem, and we are running this like a bunch of fiefdoms.
In normal times this is a global problem and the US would take a leadership position. This is absolutely insane
Zero chance there is anywhere near enough masks coming from any source, I work for one of the biggest PPE companies in North America. You could combine Moldex, 3M, MSA, Honeywell, SAS, Cardinal Health, and PIP together and they wouldn’t have enough masks for healthcare plus the American People. The capacity isn’t there
Trump recognized this, refused federal help for most part, and stoked the fire of discord. Sir, thank you!
Fauci graduated first in his class at Cornell but due to shitdicks like Lou Dobbs and Dan Bongino he could potentially be elbowed out
Yes, he thinks it is to his advantage. I had a right leaning friend from Florida tell me that it is Cuomo's fault that they are getting it so badly now because he didn't shutdown the airports to Florida. Gladly he is not too far gone and after hours of conversation I was able to educate him on the problem and get him to see how Trump and his own Governor are handling this really badly, and that only Trump can be responsible for interstate travel in the right way.
I think that would be a major mistake by trump. It would give fauci a major platform to criticize him and Biden could run on fauci taking back over the crisis if elected.
God imagine playing a home game in Arizona in July without even considering Corona. I hate the NCAA and these schools so much.
This is probably going to sound a bit silly but I did my hair and put on pants that weren't sweatpants for the first time in two weeks and I feel a lot better.
Ohio has 12 million people and 7 metro areas with 500,000 or more people. That’s a lot of people living close together.
