And that’s assuming the current restrictions (or lack thereof) stay in place. Less restrictions or more restrictions obviously shifting it
We've been able to stay stocked up through happenstance - my wife was at Walgreens when the TP truck showed up and I got a big pack of paper towels at Walmart - and we're absolutely covered on food, so I'm just trying to plan ahead without leaving the house. Our Kroger does Quicklist, but they're not filling orders completely. I think my town could probably keep 2-3 grocery stores in business, but the recession knocked out 1 of them and another is not remotely capable of handling a crowd, so everybody is hitting up that Kroger.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/life...27603e-7118-11ea-aa80-c2470c6b2034_story.html In a conference call Friday night, Rutter told orchestra leaders that the 96 musicians would receive their last paycheck on April 3 and that they will not be paid until the arts center reopens. In addition, she said their health-care benefits would stop at the end of May if the arts center is still closed at that time. The announcement was characterized by several NSO members as a shock.
Yes! Lock down the country except the old whites will still be allowed to attend his rallies which will be held every day.
This needs to be beaten into everyone’s heads. The White House themselves are saying 1million+ deaths could happen. Stay home you idiots
1.5% is based on the under reported/tested numbers, no? Can’t believe it’d go north of 1M and 500k would be shocking IMO.
fake news nasty media spreading lies. It was a nasty nasty question by that cutie pie CNN anchor Jake tapper. ITS NOT TRUE. I am doing the best job ever!! MAGA
To get to a number like 3 million deaths we’d have to see 10,000 dead every day for the next 10 months. I can’t even imagine something like that
I’m not sure it would be that bad even if we did nothing. That said, I think a 1.5% death rate is unrealistic if some additional big cities become major hot zones. These major hot zones are not able to provide top quality care to anyone because they have too many people to look after and less workers as hospital staff start to get infected. It is a spiraling effect. If the cases are spread out maybe but if we have 3-5 more hot zones like NY, i would expect the death rate to be 3-4%.
3 million was possible during the lets ignore it phase was still ongoing mortality will definitely be above 1.5%, especially in light of the delayed deaths we're seeing in places like SK think the US is on a path to 80k-1million based on how aggressive we scale back social distancing when trump gets scared
BREAKING: I cannot believe my eyes. A Trumper in my group chat has finally broken. He said he’s not voting for him in 2020. This was a pretty starch fan of his at one point.
Went to Mariano's this morning. It was better stocked than last time I went. However still no TP or Flour/baking goods. Not a lot of fresh beef or chicken either. Only had thin cut pork chops left. Meh. Prob will just use it for stir fry Glad I got TP @ Costco a few weeks ago.
Just be prepared for the “well, I mean, I wasn’t going to but Dems nominated Biden, whose the most liberal corrupt politician to ever live” nonsense
