Millionaire douchebag who has gotten rich over fucking idiots following him says the economy is more important than lives, I'm shocked.
always was going to be the case but the depressing aspect of measures trying to flatten the curve, so that our healthcare system could reduce the fatality rate China saw, was that the chud republicans would use the outcome as validation of their efforts to downplay the virus' severity.
Two weeks ago. After the NBA cancelled. After the NCAA shut down all conference tournaments three days prior to that post.
I hate Clay Travis with the best of them. I hated him when he was on local Nashville radio. But that doesn't mean Pres gets a pass because he is slightly less bad on this than Clay
He said his point was that voluntary social distancing wouldn’t work and then did a PSA tweet later that day. Obviously covering up being a dumb ass, but he’s since avoided the complete scumbag Clay Travis pandemic denier lane. Again, not a justification for his first tweet. The comparison just really undersells how uniquely shitty Clay has been.
I’d love to see it, because this is magnitudes worse than merely actively and passively supporting harassment and bro culture. He was actively encouraging his audience to spread a virus that is going to kill tens of thousands of people.
probably not a coincidence Portnoy, a regular guest on Tucker Carlson's white power hour, is having to backtrack and spin his initial denialism that played well with his base.
The “I’m sorry you were offended” of responses, and I’m not even sure it’s that good. Do you not think what he did was seriously heinous? I’m trying to figure out what your line is, because this is going to kill people.
The Portnoy tweet/stance was opposed by pretty much all of the other “talent.” Pardon My Take had Dr. Fauci as a guest that week. A tremendous amount of the content doesn’t have anything to do with Portnoy. Listening to Spittin Chiclets, or Barstool Breakfast, or PMT does “support his company” in some way, but I don’t see it as being much different than watching Pulp Fiction or Clerks because Miramax produced them.
I'd agree with that analogy if Harvey Weinstein was still running Miramax, but fair enough. I'm admittedly a bit shocked by your answer.
And Portnoy isn’t Harvey Weinstein. I do find reality tv and wrestling to be wildly entertaining and hilarious, so I think that I’m inclined to write more of it off as kayfabe (right or wrong).
