Theoretically we could have made the NCAA tournament, and theoretically any team participating in the NCAA tournament could win the NCAA championship. So I posit that we can claim the following, theoretically: B1G Champion NCAA Tournament Participant NCAA Champion
i stopped wallowing in self-pity for a few moments and checked out the kids that are crystal-balled to Rutgers for the 2021 football class. some of these kids are pretty damn good.
A sweet sixteen finish in an algorithm-determined NCAA tournament carried out on twitter is the best thing to happen to Rutgers sports since 2008
Today, two picks for Rutgers were entered for Omoruyi. One from 247Sports director of recruiting Evan Daniels and one from 247Sports national recruiting analyst Josh Gershon. Rutgers was Omoruyi’s last official visit on February 29, which came nine days after his visit to Arizona State.

#8 center in the nation stays home. Wasnt long ago when Rutgers had a hard time recruiting the #8 center in NJ.
It's really a testament to RU finally coming around to accepting that it can be a place athletics can thrive as well as making the right hires. It wasn't long ago that the wrestling program had a hard time keeping kids who finished #8 in NJ state tournaments home. Goodale was the right hire, he established a great culture and last year that hard work finally bore fruit to the tune of two national titles. Now almost every recruit the wrestling program lands is a state title winner (if not multiple state titles) and we've been top 5 in wrestling attendance for several years in a row. It also wasn't long ago that the football program had a hard time landing the #8 player at their position in the state. They found the right guy in Schiano and thankfully we have him back. He's already turned the recruiting for the program around mainly because the administration finally caved and gave him a budget that allowed him to hire a high end coaching and support staff. I fully expect him to make RU a regular bowl team once again. And of course we have Pikiell and the basketball program. He was a great hire and has been repeatedly been given the resources to keep his assistants on staff when there were overtures from other programs. The program also FINALLY got a dedicated practice and training facility after decades of BS preventing that from happening. He established a great culture, recruited well, developed players and this year it all finally came together. I believe they sold out a dozen games this year, which is like 3x more sellouts in a season than ever before. There's a common misconception that NJ wouldn't support college athletics, but really it's just that NJ doesn't have the attention span to support incompetence and consistent losers. NJ has a thirst for college sports as evidenced by the wrestling program attendance, BB attendance this year and FB attendance Schiano's first go around. Add to all that that we finally have a president coming in that is friendly towards athletics... I can't wait to see how things go in the next few years for RU athletics
He seems to know Luther Muhammad and said that he would come here as a direct transfer. Pike would only take him if he sat a year
Considering that sit out transfers maybe a thing of the past, I’m not sure how tenable Pikes position is.
I'm actually a bit disappointed, he calls everything great. We didn't even register a perfect, beautiful, or the best.
