Off the top of my head no. A’s and Mariners were around 40-45. I went cheap today and took the Rangers at 15. Diamondbacks Giants were like 20. Padres I think was as 65. Blue Jays and Yankees were the most but both under 90. Mets was 68 I believe as well. Found the one he did the other day scroll down and click team and it will give you all the prices https://deepfriedbreaks.com/dfb/2020inceptionpyt3
Real Brakes is another good one on Facebook. I joined some with them last year around bowman draft time. Had some good success with them and they get you your cards quick. They usually post a schedule around noon then the breaks post at 5 central. First come first serve and they fill quick. They've been starting earlier the last few weeks. Breaks are on facebook live and I think twitter live. These were their inception prices. They've done a bunch of random team breaks for $48 a spot. Angels 75 Astros 90 Athletics 40 Blue Jays 90 Braves 65 Brewers 25 Cubs 50 Diamondbacks 20 Dodgers 80 Giants 20 Indians 45 Mariners 40 Marlins 35 Mets 45 Nationals 50 Orioles 25 Padres 55 Phillies 20 Pirates 20 Rangers 10 Rays 30 Red Sox 35 Reds 45 Rockies 10 Royals 10 Tigers 20 Twins 20 White Sox 80 Yankees 75
I second what the others have recommended in terms of brands. Blowout Cards, Dave & Adam's Cardworld, and ebay are where I've gotten boxes in the past. You can usually get good prices on ebay if you do your research (sold items via auction give the best price range). I'd also recommend Score and Donruss Football. They're more on the low-end of products but are a lot of fun to open and you don't get the feeling you've been ripped off when you're done. I'd hop over to your local Target/Wal Mart and see if they have 2020 Topps Baseball hanger boxes & packs (not blasters). My brother swears by hanger boxes and packs for Topps Baseball. In the past couple weeks he's pulled a Bo Bichette SP and also a Bichette SSP (~$250 card) from hanger packs/boxes. He also knows someone who has pulled a 2018 Soto Black /67 and an Acuna Gold /2018 via hangers.
I was talking to my dad yesterday who’s 72 and been collecting cards now for thirty years. He was in the middle of updating his collection card costs on a software program provided by Beckett. I asked how many cards he is up to now and it’s 223k total cards. I was really into it in the 90s and I gave him a lot of my cards and he just took off with it. Goes to card auctions, shows and random card stores on road trips. They are coming to me at some point and I know the wife is going to need me to get a storage unit for it.
So on my grocery run to target I grabbed a few packs of the Gypsy Queen Baseball and mostly got skunked, glad the boy got a few Cub's players to keep his interest. Outside of those I didn't really see much for selection, they had Donruss, some other Topps and Opening Day boxes and packs galore. Might try Wal-Mart tomorrow to see what I can find. This inception boxes what are those retail, they got my attention but the cheapest I could find them was $82 on StockX. Are they one of those things they get spoken for and bought up and don't even have a chance to hit the shelf or you have to pre order them and they only come out once a year.
I don't believe Inception has been retail in the past. They just came out within the last couple of weeks and hobby boxes are currently running ~$75 shipped on ebay. They should be relatively easy to find. My advice to you would be to buy in to Cubs box/case breaks. It would be a fun and less expensive way to introduce cards to your boy if he's strictly interested in Cubs players and it's also kind of fun to be involved and watching the break as it is happening live. Edit: For example, for the cost of 1 Inception hobby box you could buy the Cubs spot for the same price (maybe cheaper) in a Case break (16 boxes) and then receive only the Cubs cards that are pulled in the break. But be sure to read item descriptions to make sure every card is shipped. Sometimes base cards aren't included.
I think there were some Instagram recommendations by others in the last few pages ITT. There are plenty others on ebay who are reputable. Just make sure you check feedback. I did an Optic Basketball player break with rainwhiskerr (ebay) - Boomo99 (I think? on YouTube) last week and he is pretty entertaining and got my cards within days. Somehow I only hit 1 base rookie in 12 boxes (how?!) and he sent me a few freebies because I only had the 1 card. Nice guy.
I found one on eBay and it's for the Bluejays only but it's 8 boxes and only at $2. That's has to be worth pulling a Vlad Jr card right?
I don't think the Royals top prospects are having their cards made yet, so until then I'm not sure I'd get much out of these things. At least not unless Mondesi blows up or something
I cant wait to get back into collecting. Between trying to sell our house and then this Rona, I've been at a standstill for right at a year
I’m honestly dying for football to start dropping. Lotta guys I’m excited for. Been keeping my eye out for prizm draft but no bueno
Was in this one got an Austin Nola auto, but that damn Lux card is BEAUTIFUL. Also was in a random half case inception break Tuesday and got the Braves ended up getting an Austin Riley silver signing.
Got in on my first break today. Deep Fried breaks and its a case of Topps Tribute and I got the Cubs for $65. Tell me I'm not totally getting ripped off. I'm also excited cause me and my boy will watch the break together.
I hate that extended bidding they do on the regular auctions. I usually stick to the 10 minute auctions. Good luck!
Didn’t get squat but base cards, but at least got him a triple relic card eyeing Sammy Sosa. It was still fun for both of us. What are some other food ones to get in on but at maybe a little lower price. Just don’t want to keep throwing 60-80 dollars at base cards.
To be honest, would be cool to do some in house here on TMB. We have enough interests on the board, and it doesnt have ri be anything really nice. Hell, buy a case of 1991 topps baseball or football and rip on camera. Let's go Chipper rookies
Also, just putting it out there, big time Griffey fan so if any of you have any cool ones I may be intrigued.
I know I asked chrome v finest earlier, but then I saw Bowman has apparently stepped their game up? For when they release, Bowman Chrome or Topps Chrome?
I think bowman chrome autographs are mostly young players/prospects. Check out Beckett’s website and look up the checklists for each. You can go directly to the autograph or relic section and see exactly what they have.
