US airlines cancelled flights on their own. Not all airlines. That’s a major distinction. The ban was a good move. Like most of the things our government has done during this crisis, the execution was horrible. Not screening people or requiring self quarantine measures for people returning from China on the flights they kept open was the main issue with the actions dealing with China. Out of all the things to attack trump on, this is the weakest so it should be avoided. Anti trump/democrat messaging has been horrible since trump became a candidate. These are the reasons why. Focus on the big issues and continue to hammer away at them.

I’m happy to pay taxes if it means healthcare, EI, cheap education and everyone is not out on their own to fend for themselves. Quality of life is good enough. I mean, what service would you cut into by cutting taxes? As for companies, if they’re not willing to pay their fair share, fuck them. There’s money to be made so someone will step up. And taxes for companies are actually pretty low. Burger King even moved to Canada when they merged with Tim’s, for example.
