Some Spotify playlist. I don’t really think it’s a political thing but if it makes trigger angry then I support it
Trigger wrote several hundreds of words bitching about it on the site just to finish with: “It’s just a bad name for a pretty good playlist.” Lol.
Triggers a Trumper who gets butthurt anytime someone says something negative about right wing country. Then he tries to cover his tracks with "Music not politics!!1!!!!11!!"
I find myself listening to Turnpike Troubadours, Tyler Childers, and Jason Isbell almost exclusively lately, with TT making up the majority. Hardly a song I skip.
I've got a buddy whose band just released a new single with wade bowen. I like it. They've got a different sound but worth a listen
I've enjoyed how their music has stayed good even though they've kind of matured from what they used to be. Excited for this album
Mike and the Moonpies are going to try and finish a new record remotely, each from their own homes/studios. https://www.austinchronicle.com/dai...BgmCXxoIBaZPMDIoEicMKah5kWnMdVDJlJhhR7s5-dOZg
Can't find a recording of it, but it was Hayes Carll playing in his backyard and was the best of these impromptu home "concerts" I've seen
Randy Rogers is selling handwritten lyrics to his songs to help a local Austin charity. He only sells 10 at a time, so you gotta act quick. $400 a pop.
there’s a hole in daddy’s arm where all the money goes. jesus christ died for nothing i suppose. one of those lyrics that knocks you the fuck out the first time you hear it. man what legend. this sucks.
I have the tweet saved somewhere, but Isbell says “Rachel’s Song is the most complete song ever written” or something near that. edit: found it
Their live show has been awesome, but this is the best episode so far. Incredible tribute to John Prine.
