I have a pair of adizero's I wear when the weather is bad, then a pair of TW spikeless when it's not very wet.
#18 tonight on my 1896 Donald Ross. Unfortunately that rainbow was the beginning of a a cold front where I most likely won’t be able to play again soon.
My club has been doing one person per cart and it’s highly enjoyable, two of us got around in right at 2.5 hours tonight
The 86 replay is so good. Jack is an after thought in the coverage at the start. I think the first mention is a birdie on 9. Would never happen today with the Cat.
my father saved his recording of the original broadcast and would watch it every year leading up to the tournament
Might be what we'd hoped Tiger vs Phil would be https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2020/04/07/coronavirus-secret-golf-match-play-series/
Similar interesting question brought up on the Max Homa pod of whether he and Bacon could win a scramble against all of the NLU pod. I think they probably would. The two best players are on the Get a Grip side, but is having 5 players enough to overcome that.
5 putts at it would help but you can't really count Big Randy. I think I'd take NLU in that. A scramble is probably the optimum format for NLU because you get all the good Icarito shots along with a generational driver of the golf ball. DJ Pie has speed now so he can help. Soly can make some putts and be consistent off the tee and from the fairway. Big Randy can do the post round interviews.
Obviously very late to the party but had never really consumed any NLU stuff prior to this week and it’s fantastic. Perfect for quarantine.
Tigers just roasted one around the corner on 13. Watch the coronation on Masters YouTube. #Tiger Woods
anybody going to watch NLU match with Furyk who doesn't want to know how it goes don't open this. Spoiler Tron and Soly won. They shot -3 on 9 and Furyk shot -2. Furyk definitely left some shots on the course, but it was pretty fun. scramble is such an equalizer, as both Tron and Soly put balls in the water only to have the other hit a perfect shot.
Randy’s commentary has been hilarious. On 15 “that’s up in God’s hands now folks I can’t see where that is” killed me
So I'm a teacher and this week was spring break. Couldn't go anywhere but have played fuck tons of golf. Played 9 every morning. Have taken the wife and 9 month old out twice in the evening and played 9 with them riding around with me. Today I'm playing 36 on three different courses. Pretty good week all things considered.
They also said he averaged 324 off the tee that week, the only player in the field over 300. There has to be a lot of truth to the takes about how the technological advances hurt him the most because it leveled the field
That, plus golfers now are more athletic and stronger than they were in the late 90s early 00s. Before then, guys weren't lifting everyday or more. They weren't eating healthier like all athletes are now. The technology helped, but athletes in general have improved and golf is one of the sports where it stands out the most.
Watching 86 they say repeatedly that would be the 20th major for Jack. Kinda funny he “lost” two from his total after retirement.
100% Agreed. Physical strength is the only reason I don't hit the ball far. It has nothing to do with my swing or ball striking abilities.
This could be old news, but this YouTube channel has really helped my game. If you are bored he has a few good videos to watch.
I like that video and thought. I also hate watching videos like this because I’m sure it will fix me. Then I go to the range.
