I love Carl but sometimes Sean and Hayes can be too smarmy for me. I didn't think I should pay for it. I can't believe I give Nick and Mitch 5 bucks a month for the double but here I am.
Anyone think it's pretty funny listening to some of these older podcast hosts advertising mobile games? When I hear the Wondery lady talk about playing a mobile game on her phone, it makes me laugh. ZERO chance she plays that with any regularity.
For those that don't post in the Scrubs thread on the TV board, Zach Braff & Donald Faison started a podcast on I Heart Radio called Fake Doctors, Real Friends where they rewatch the entire run of scrubs and each episode gets its own podcast. Just finished the first ep. and it was pretty fucking good Fusiontegra can confirm
I know how weird the boys are but I don’t think any show makes me laugh more than Hollywood Handbook.
You might want to put that aside because the guests have been amazing. Mitch, Wiger, Gabrus, Gemberling, PFT, Demi, Andy Daly, etc...
First listen to reply all and the pop song. Such a good listen, just smiled after they found the doubt, was getting worried after the producer said he may have made it up
anyone here big into cumtown? It's completely hit or miss with me, I either find it hilarious or they're referencing old stuff I don't know about and I'm totally lost
https://www.vulture.com/2020/04/oh-hello-podcast-john-mulaney-nick-kroll.html Break Out the C’caine, an Oh, Hello Podcast Is Coming Spoiler Cue up the Steely Dan, because Oh, Hello is moving on down from Broadway to podcasts, baby. On April 3, which is tomorrow, John Mulaney and Nick Kroll will release the first episode of Oh, Hello: The P’dcast, because what we all need right now is to be equal-parts tickled and terrorized by Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland. For those of you who haven’t watched their segments on The Kroll Show or seen their superb Broadway show on Netflix, Gil and George are a couple of ornery, tuna-lovin’ New Yorkers who could never understand the concept of “social distancing” because they are the human embodiment of coughing in a stranger’s mouth. John Mulaney tweeted a link to the P’dcast’s Apple Podcast page, which already has a perfectly wacky description of what to expect: She was the People’s Princess and they were two men who hung out at Duane Reade. But now worlds have collided. From the stars of “Oh Hello, on Broadway” and the video taped version of “Oh, Hello on Broadway” comes a podcast on the life and death of Princess Diana. It’s also a podcast on the life and loves of George St. Geegland (Oh, Hello on Broadway, TED Talk Submission) and Charmed I’m Sure Gil Faizon (Oh, Hello on Broadway, Nestle commercial web-only, can do French accent). LEARN MORE » There’s also a one-minute trailer in which a Sarah Koenig-style audio producer reads a “Xerox copy of a fax” sent to her by Gil and George: Oh, hello. It’s George and Gil, your favorite guys in the world and also New York, which is an awesome city, but not as good as it used to be, because of Mayor DiBlasio and the Knicks, who stink. We are in mandatory self-quarantine right now, but we think what the world needs is a podcast from us, George and Gil: the bad boys of broadcast. It’s time we finish and air this podcast. The very fact that we have content banked means we are miles ahead of the competition. Even a half-finished podcast that almost ruined our friendship is more than you dunces have out there in nobodyville. We’re gonna win the quarantine. And one last thing: you’re welcome.
It’s just hit or miss if they find a good bit or riff. Best episodes usually involve a good impression or changing someone’s name to be penis related.
Science Vs has really been great these last couple of weeks covering the COVID-19 pandemic. Tons of good information in there.
For anyone who listened to comedy bang bang this week, this was the email from Harris Wittels to a whole host of NBC folks including execs while he was working on Parks and Rec.
They have some epic episodes you could maybe listen to. They made Pauly Shore snap on them and call them fags. They did an episode of “Doing Spont” with PFT. Last year they did a really good one with Mitch, Wiger and Tom Scharping. then the Masked Engineer and the Masked Guest are great.
Been a while since I plugged "Finding Drago" but if you're looking for something good during quarantine, check it out. Maybe not for everyone but it really did it for me.
Just started In the Shadows of Utopia: A Cambodian History Podcast which is basically just about the Khmer Rouge. If that interests you it's worth a listen. I watched The Killling Fields, which is about the Khmer Rouge today, and wanted to consume more content on that incredibly fucked up and evil regime.
I thought Don DiMello was criminally underrated and Big Dawg (while hilarious) should in no way be that high. Leo Carpazzi at #1 is ludicrous as is Victor, Tiny, and Willie listed as 3 separate entries (all in the top 10)
