Kidding. It is really inconvenient with no water and toddler. Wife and son are at my parents and i just came back home to get some sleep.

Edit- just looked at where you live. I would not be surprised if you are incorporated into the city sooner than later.

They’ve already tried, especially when Littlefield was mayor. They stopped before it was incorporated because the subdivision lawyered up prior to me moving in. For now and the near future Berke has adamantly stated he had no interest incorporating any further north.

I thought the same thing at one point but I don’t think it happens anytime soon.

Any good place to watch football Saturday night? I've done Taco Mac before and it was fine. Need a place with food/drinks/a lot of TVs.

Also for late night last time we went to London Calling and Flying Squirrel and both were cool. Anywhere else?

For Football I’d do Mikes, Tremont Tavern, or the bar at Feed. For breweries, Naked River has good beer and food and TVs, but it is UTC homecoming this weekend so it’ll be packed.

Late night try Bitter Alibi or Honest Pint - they’re right next to each other. CBC is right across the street too but I haven’t been there in a few years.

It is a good place to drink and watch. Not a fan of the food though.

As of 7:38 this morning, City of Chatt (Mayor) has ordered the closure of all businesses primarily serving food and alcohol, as well as all fitness centers, and gyms. This will be in full affect as of midnight tonight.

I am hoping all restaurants survive but I really hope Pizzeria Cortile makes it through this.

If you run out of beer, most or all of the local breweries are still doing pickups and growler fills. Oddstory is doing window service and Hutton is doing walk-in fills. Don't know for sure about Heaven & Ale, but I'm sure they're doing the same.

Charlie's BBQ on Main St. is doing car-hop style service.

That was a text I received from the owner of 1885 and Feed. Told the wife if she's craving any takeout, tonight is the last chance for a while. There are multiple restaurants that will not survive

Does this mandatory closure include liquor stores? I was in Riverside 2 days ago and it was pretty crowded.

edit: just read berke's statement, looks like liquor stores are ok still.
also, fyi, if you have a kegerator hutton and smith is having a pretty good sale on several kegs.

Also, to clarify, dine-in only is shutdown at restaurants. A lot are gonna continue trying to do takeout and delivery so try order out where you can.

And if you're at home drinking and want to help out some service industry people, check out the site chatt.us. Displaced workers have been signing up with their bar/restaurant listed and then their Venmo/Cash accounts are linked so you can tip as if you were drinking a beer/cocktail from them.

My wife and brother know the owners really well. They're good people and I agree. Maybe they can still do carry out or offer delivery.

As far as I'm aware they're still doing carry out. Know a few that have done as much and planning on grabbing a pie or two over the next week or two.

Are you a smoker? Went once to grab wings after enjoying their wings at the market wing competition. Wings are good but not worth smelling like a chimney for me.

Not a smoker. I do not go very often after 9pm which is when the smoke is terrible. It is the closest bar with liquor to my house so I just strip in the basement and take a shower once home.

I've never been disappointed by any of their sauces. Occasionally I'll get the Buffalo shrimp blackened and use the blackberry bourbon sriracha as a dipping sauce. Seriously one of the best bar menus in town (RIP the Cheesy Cheeserson).

Adrian is the owner of Poblanos. When I first read it I thought he was referring to the rioters as a whole not a specific race. Everyone else does not share that opinion and he has deleted the business page.

If I’m picking up, I’ll go to Taconooga. If I’m sitting down, I’ll go to Poblanos. Enjoy them both.
I’m planning on picking up Totto tonight, so hoping the protests won’t get out of hand in that area.

If you are ever out on Lee Hwy try Tacos el Cueno.
The LOA on Hixson Pike/153 is my favorite.
Arca de Noe on Dayton has the best salsa.

    LOA?

I really enjoy Tacqueria in Miller Plaza.

Is Arca de Noe in Dayton Blvd? Or Dayton Pike?

LOA has several locations. The on I go to is next to rileys liquor.

Arca is on the blvd next to the cop station.

The LOA on the Broad/Main intersection is nasty as hell even if you’re giving it plus novelty points.

Mike's is my local watering hole, usually at least once a week. Really sad for his wife and family. He was a good hearted man who will be dearly missed. RIP, Mike.

I don't think I am out of place by saying that he struggled with alcoholism, to the point that he had to be hospitalized 1-2 times in the last year or so. Evidently he had been back on the wagon a few weeks and not drinking and had been feeling good. Yesterday he told his wife he didn't feel well and was going to lay down and she found him later. No clue really other than that. They are at the beach in FL from what I am told.

And yeah, the old Hole was infinitely better.

I was just at Mike's last night. Has always been my Sunday spot, especially during football season. I'm gonna miss him yelling at the Dolphins all fall. I consider myself lucky to have gotten one more good conversation with him a couple of weeks ago before he went on vacation. Just not gonna be the same without him wandering table to table and stopping to pet every dog along the way...
