Ha! I had one before- it clears by an inch but it’s not something that is comfortable the first time you try it. I manually pulled the door down so I could stop it if needed.
Did the dealer install the lift? If so then they should cover it, but I’d get it in writing. It looks small enough and small enough tires that wouldn’t cause extra stress or strain in the powertrain. See what gear ratio it has
Yea, it was installed by the previous dealer. It's a 6" lift with 35s. 3.55 gears. Warranty looks like it is up on the lift though based on pictures they posted.
Take a long test drive in it then. Your acceleration, braking, handling, ride quality, and mpg are all going to under perform compared to a stock height truck or a leveled truck. Getting a stock truck and throwing a leveling kit on would be my suggestion. Little extra height and room for bigger tires without molesting all the factory geometry of the suspension.
I just bought a new tundra and love. I know the gas mileage is less than ideal but I’ll take the tried and true tundra still any day.
If you read what all is actually being changed.... to call this a “new” generation is a bit laughable.
I know the tundra hasn’t changed dramatically since 07... but the one I just bought is pretty nice. Idk... maybe I don’t care as much bout that stuff
Typically they won't change a truck or SUV platform but maybe once every decade or so. However, they'll usually upgrade body styling and the interior every few years while keeping everything you can't see basically the same.
My GPS and BT system has completely gone to shit. I can't connect my phone longer than 5 min and I fucked if I ever got lost and needed to know where I was. Sync is absolute trash
Ford right? My 18 gmc seems to go through stretches Lately its dropped Bluetooth on the first call of the day, every day
Never had a problem with Bluetooth in my Tacoma. Although i have been kicking the idea around of putting in an aftermarket head unit with Apple carplay.
It is the one thing my Dad hates about his F150. My Dodge is 10 years older but has an aftermarket Pioneer HU with CarPlay that is a billion times better. Hell, his Sync system didn't work worth a shit when it was brand new.
I never had any issues with sync in my 17 f150 or my 19 ranger. Prior versions I would have spotty issues.
MY Dad's F150 is a 2011 so probably an older generation of Sync. It's terrible. Sound system isn't bad for a stock truck.
Ya my 14 would have occasional issue but usually turning the power off to the unit and back on fixed it.
I went from a 07, so it was a world of difference technology wise. Seems there is a difference with the 10 speed transmission though... Gearing just feels way different going from a 4 speed tranny to the 10 speed.
As a side note, I have the Sync 3 and it is great 98% of the time, however there are those random instances where it craps out and freezes up or won't start. If you hold the "next track" button and the power button at the same time on the dash for a couple seconds, it reboots the sync and you don't need to turn the truck off and back on again. #lifehack
I need a new computer apparently or some shit. It's a huge issue I see. What a joke. My old lady leases Cherokees never froze up or lost connection ever. The truck had 8k miles on it so there's no way wear and tear in the months I've owned it did it.
2020 F-150 Lariat Supercrew 5.5 ft bed being delivered Wednesday. They got me out of my Canyon lease and gave me a good deal. Super hyped to be in an F-150 and even got the 3.5L EB I really wanted
Local dealer had a 2019 king ranch I stumbled upon by accident, so I inquired. Listed price was good, not great. They send back an offer with no reduction of sale price and an insulting trade value. I didn’t reference any numbers specifically but said here’s how much I’m willing to finance + my trade + cash down. I get an offer back, they raised my trade by $3k, which put it in good not great range, but no reduction on sale price. Mind you the truck has been on their lot 2.5 months already. I tell them we’re too far off and reiterate my amount, they send a final offer hours later, which was the same as before. I asked if it was a mistake because it was the same as before. He said that’s the deal, so I said thanks for your time. I’ll watch price drop and see if they’ll move in the next 2.5 months.
That's funny. A Dodge dealer did that to my buddy. I told him to tell them to eat shit. He did. Ford is already struggling Chevy has to be eating shit.
I may find out soon how bad GM is hurting - may see what kind of deal I can work on an AT4 closer to the end of the month, a local dealer has one for $15k off and the rest at $13k off (they have at least 25 of them) My 2015 Sierra has about 94k miles on it so I don’t necessarily need to get into a new one unless I get a screaming deal
I mean the deal was good but not enough to move on. I told them I’ve already got a nice truck so I don’t need it and at the end of the day I don’t have to buy a truck, but you have to sell one.
Car dealers/ealesman aren't known for being the smartest guys in the room Example Wife picked out a car at a local dealership, and actually went as far as making a cash offer (but said that offer was not good until I got there)...well I got there and was told by the salesman that he didn't think what my wife offered would get the car, but he was willing to try and 'put it in' because they had someone that just showed up who was wanting to buy that same vehicle I basically told him to fuck off and sell it to the other party The next day that salesman called my wife and basically told her that that car sold to the other party for $2000 less than what my wife had offered, like that was some kind of sign of what a good deal he could get her...... We didn't buy from them
I went with Woodhouse up in Omaha. Very reasonable and easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone on these here Great Plains
I only leased cuz I didn’t want to put a ton of cash down with everything going on. There’s about a 95% chance I buy out the lease in three years. But the lease gives some flexibility and doesn’t tap into savings in case of financial uncertainty
Bottom line here’s the price. I dint care how they get there. It’s how I’ve always done it. Current truck I never even went to dealership that was an hour away. Drove it to me with the papers and didn’t even start my trade in up, “just said, it looks like the pics you sent.”
yep basically what I did. The dealer is 3 hours north of me. Did everything over phone and they brought the truck to me and took my old one back. Easier to negotiate when you’re not there imo
ty it’s been a rehab project as the prior owners neglected it but it’s looking much better in my second growing season
Yup, I’ve bought 2 F150s, 2 mustangs, and a ranger just going through e-mail. I don’t even answer their calls if the numbers aren’t close enough. Definitely don’t show up in person until the number I want is on paper.
I put this in another thread but I went to LineX and they asked me like three times if I wanted the standard or premium. I said I want the standard as I’m gonna put a tonneau on and I don’t need the UV protection. 90 minutes later the guy comes back out again and says you sure you don’t want to upgrade to the premium and I’m like nah man. He goes well they sprayed the premium by mistake so I guess it’s free. So this truck is blessed basically
