What position(s) are the Bucs targeting Thursday night? Pass catching group is insanely talented and should be fun to watch.
Because I don't want to go down a political rabbit hole, I'll just say that because of what is coming up in November, I would be extremely surprised if the NFL season gets cancelled.
OT or bust. We're very clearly in win now mode, so I expect us to move up to secure one of the big 4 OTs.
I understand and accept we'll shop Howard, but what are the odds we keep all 3. Was thinking about this last night and on NFL Live just now, forgot who said it, it was stated the weight loss of Gronk could put him more at the flex TE and not have to be so physical as much. Plus, being able to rotate all 3 of Brate, Howard and Gronk helps keep them all healthy for the season.. we'll shop Howard but that's not a bad idea.
Dedicating $18M in cap space to the TE position doesn't seem like a good allocation of resources given the holes on our roster
A friend’s family has a place near Indian Rocks Beach. Before Covid, we were planning to go down there for the Chiefs-Bucs game. Seems very unlikely at this point, but that game is going to be very fun whenever it takes place.
Agreed. Was just putting it out there because im skeptical as fuck about our management but would love to shop Howard and get a pick before the draft starts, or get an asset in a player
Really hope we get some OL that cab immediately help. Not against drafting a RB, but hope it's later and Licht doesn't draft one round 1. Also not sold on the back end of our defense. Trade Howard for whatever you can get. But who am I kidding, Licht will draft 4 DBs and a punter
Think we trade up for an OT and then take a RB in the 2nd if CEH is available or Akers in the 3rd. Ideally we get Wills or Thomas in the 1st and CEH in the 2nd.
if Akers fall to the 3rd, absolutely. Swift in the 2nd would be amazing but if Swift isn't there, I think we go WR Think we use Howard as part of the package to trade up?
Yeah, Howard should be worth a mid-rd draft pick at worst. Also, CEH could be a RB/slot WR hybrid. His receiving skills are excellent.
I’m betting some other teams wanted to trade with SF to get Wirfs. Pretty happy with landing him without giving up too much.
It cost a 4th rounder. I’d rather give up the 4th and secure the last top-tier OT than gamble and risk being stuck with someone like Josh Jones or Austin Jackson.
Wirfs is going to be a monster. I think he’s a better fit at RT but he can probably handle LT if that’s the plan. Him being the 4th OT taken was a bit absurd. You guys got a good one.
I like Swift in rd2 now but wouldn't be mad if we took Blacklock, Winfield or McKinney and waited until rd3 for a guy like Akers or Moss
I prefer Akers to everyone that's left. Good receiving skills and homerun threat. But scheme fit and pass protection are more important and I honestly don't know who the best option is for that. Hopefully Licht does, but I doubt it.
I'm not sure I like Cam's blocking.... Perhaps he was lazy on an underwhelming FSU team, which sure protect yourself, but when it comes to his ability with the ball in his hands? I love him! He gets tackled by the grass but man he's capable of catching out of the backfield and going between the tackles and taking it to the house. But when he did have wonderful moments in blocking at times... I know I seen him lay dudes out
Also, I need a new Bucs jersey since the only one in my closet is a Winston jersey. thinking Godwin. if we take Cam, I gotta go Cam. or just do both
I'm pretty anti-jersey, but Godwin is a good choice. Only problem would be if he switched back to 12 once Brady retires.
