I'll never be ok with the zero holding calls last night whole crew decided beforehand they weren't calling it, would've been courteous to let both teams know
so many times where mahomes was running out the pocket where one of our dline was being held and I was like oh this is obvious and nothing, really not 1 holding called ?
That wasn't even close in real time either. I think I said in the game thread, didn't even rewind. If for no holding would have been a sack or another floating duck.
I’d be fine if they let that hold and Kittle’s push off go or call both. Infuriating they called one and not the other. Have to overcome bad calls to win but fuck that’s two huge plays that went against us.
long term it makes sense, I’m feeling okay especially we will get a WR with 13 or top talent at CB trade 31 pick up middle round picks to stockpile some cheap talent and depth that way we got the funds to resign Kittles
Yeah, I think this has been a solid start to the season. Sure, would have loved to have had Buckner, but he was going to command Aaron Donald money and we have good to great talent sprinkled all over the DL already. Some of the backup guys are pretty damn good and will be back healthy this year. We signed Armstead to a more friendly deal and now can lock down Kittle. Sanders was a great pickup but no need to give him 8-10M per year when you now have draft capital and are looking at a deep WR class. If we land someone like Jeudy with the 13 I will be ecstatic and then you can look at either flipping 31 or possibly taking the best CB/OT prospect on the board to eventually replace Staley.
Do we take WR at 13 or take the best CB since this is a super deep WR class? Also, lol Rams. They don't have a first round pick for the next five years and are jettisoning players in cap hell.
I don’t think there is a DB that I value at 13. Try and nab Jeudy or Lamb with the first pick and hope someone like CJ Henderson is available at 31.
I think it’s a bad move to tease ur all pro DT to only draft his replacement and ignore top end talent at positions of weakness ? We have enough juice on the DL to be effective with a slight slip in production but not at WR or CB especially CB next year when everyone is a free agent and OT with Staley up in the air, drafting Kinlaw at 13 will have repercussions in our weak areas for sure......take one of the top 3 WR or CJ Henderson if he drops, or trade down get more middle round picks......I just don’t see us taking DL at 13 with Blair, Jones, And Taylor coming back
I'm in this boat now, too. I'd be fine trading both first rounders to get some 2/3/4 picks since this is such a deep draft. I think we can get quality WRs especially in the 2/3 rounds.
Yeah I am Henderson or Ruggs/Jeudy but think they will ultimately trade back to accumulate more picks and then take a CB at 31.
Can get a WR later I think. None of these guys are sure fire #1s. Deep with very good but not can't miss wr I think.
I'm not mad. Kinlaw is a hell of a player and helps us maintain the DL dominance without having to kick up $84M to Buckner. I haven't seen the compensation for the TB trade but we presumably got another midround pick somewhere that we needed. I think we can get an impact WR later. Not sure about CB/OT tho.
People saying that this is the Solomon Thomas pick all over again are dumb. Grab a WR at 31 and we are good. Too bad Justin Jefferson won’t be available.
I mean I know I'm a homer and all, but if we trade back from 31 and can still get someone like Tee Higgins, then nobody should be mad. He's got as much upside as anyone in the draft and was a baller at Clemson. Tied Sammy Watkins and Nuk Hopkins for most receiving TDs in Clemson history. Great jump ball guy and deep threat.
As an FSU fan, I know all about Higgens, but WR's that don't separate scare me. His size and ability to make contested catches are a huge plus though.
Yeah nobody hates Gamecocks more than I do, but Kinlaw is a monster. He will be a baller next to the other DL guys. I would have been good trading back, but I respect the fact that Shanahan/Lynch wanted to ride the DL advantage that we've had on everyone else this year.
I am not overly familiar with this kid but if he's a comp to Deebo that's cool. Assume we have to trade out of 31 now.
Definitely agree on the value. Likely could have got the same two players and more draft capital by trading back for Kinlaw and staying put or even trading back for Aiyuk.
Still confused about having to trade up there, but I can definitely see the fit with this kid in Shanahan's offense. He looks like a super explosive version of Sanders. I hope this also means that they feel good about Hurd this year as a big target. There was also talk before the draft of possibly trading for Evan Engram as a flex TE.
