Report I read is that Lamb was 6th on the cowboys board. Getting him at 17 is crazy. Add in the fact that the Eagles were convinced they were getting him at 21 and its a pretty great pick
yep they said in the press conference he was 6. they admitted they didn’t interview him or anything after the combine because in every single mock they ran, he didn’t fall to them in any of them it’s one of those dream scenarios where you’ve got a borderline top 5 talent at a position of need falling all the way to you at 17
I really love the domino effect this could have on the whole offense. With those 3 WRs plus zeke and Jarwin its really pick your poison. All 3 WRs are going to see significant 1 on 1s, fewer loaded boxes for Zeke to run into, etc. I am stoked
so we’ve got 51 tonight we have an extra 5th if we want to use it to make a move up, but you’re not going to get very far. i bet we stay put and wait and see what falls to us again
Since wildly talented guys are falling all the way to us this year, can we have like Xavier Mckinney tumble down to our spot plz? :D
Please let Aj Epenesa fall to us. I know it's a homer pick, but all the way upto the combine some saw him as the second best DE in this draft. He may not have the numbers some other guys have but in Iowa's defensive scheme the DE's aren't asked to be sack machines and just pin their ears back, they are supposed to clog the line and eat up blockers and let the LB'ers and the safeties clean up. He has shown when he is let loose he can can chaos.
Yeah man i like Epenesa. And id bet he is higher on the board than those 2 CB. Interesting to see where they go.
ridiculously high ceiling, but unfortunately a low floor. lacks consistency but the disruption numbers are there mike stoops failed him for his first few years. grinch’s defense this past season was much more suited for gallimore, but i still feel like he was misused too much. he was double teamed a lot and it never seemed like we wanted to scheme around that. so kind of hard to tell honestly, which is why the range of his potential is so great i think it’s a fantastic pick in the 3rd. he could be a pro bowler. he may also be cut in 3 years
I dont think we target a center specifically. McGovern or Looney can play there. But i do think we will draft an o-lineman for depth. Prolly will take a Safety at some point but in round 4 if hes still there id take a flyer on Bryce Hall.
I had seen both Diggs and Gallimore mocked in the first round multiple times. Still can’t believe those two as well as Lamb fell to us where they did. Extreme luck and great drafting so far. Hope it continues through today
Give me Robinson. I also wouldn’t mind going Prosche is he’s there late. Will be tough without a 6th though.
I dont like it this early. I think you found the only person to have him ranked higher than a 5th or 6th rounder
It seems early but I haven't followed any draft prep. He was fifth in passes defended in CFB last year so another guy with ball skills. Has also played safety.
i haven’t seen a report that had him later than the 4th or at least they didn’t analyze him as a late round draft pick
we needed the depth and according to the ticket broadcast this morning, the new special teams coordinator likes using defensive players only. makes sense considering they’re the ones tackling often
Il trust the Cowboys evaluations, i just really wanted Hall. But i havnt seen anybody with him in the top 8 or so of the best available cornerbacks left on day 3.
apparently we had diggs and gallimore rated right around the same, and they were debating between the two at 51 and went diggs for immediate need then gallimore fell to us again at 82 unbelievable
