Just did the live ride with bae. It was my 300th and got a new PR. 28k on the live ride. That’s a lot of people.
I have too much hate for her from her Tabata classes. Although her and Olivia are 1 and 2 in toughest classes.
I was able to find cheap 10 pound weights so hopefully the weight holders will support them and I can use them when I ride.
Finished the first week of "Total Strength" with Andy. So far I am enjoying it. It is challenging but the movements are very basic and easy to understand. I hope that remains true throughout the program. I also purchased some supplements to help me progress. Glutamine, creatine, an amino acid drink and a multivitamin. In reality, i don't think these things do much unless you also have a perfect diet. But I enjoy the placebo effect and the added motivation to work out because I spent some money on them.
My beginning strength test numbers were as follows: 50 lb front squats - 24/min. Pushups - 32/min. At the end of four weeks I increased Squats - 32/min. Push ups - 46/min. No drug supplements
What did you do on the off days in between strength classes? I want to do cardio but also don't want to fatigue myself too much.
I rode and did a ton of yoga. Did either 20 or 30 min rides. Nothing super long. And only 2-3 times per week. Ran a 5k few times to mix it up too.
Rumor on reddit is he was sending nudes to female followers. Something definitely happened in a bad way as they took all of his classes down. Never have happened before I don’t think.
i can’t imagine a format that relies so much on taped classes to allow someone to say “delete all my classes once I am gone”.
I REALLY liked Oliver’s strength classes. There’s only a handful of 30 minute upper body classes left and most are with WOAT instructor Andy Speer.
JJ's classes are almost all gone. Cant imagine its a good idea to be deleting content when you're barely adding them.
Don’t know how many there were but there are 71 cycling, only 4 stretching and 3 strength. Didn’t realize they were deleting her classes.
Yeah Reddit was discussing it. She had about 1000 classes when she left, the music purge took quite a few of hers, then they deleted like 200+ of her remaining 300 last week. Sucks. She had some tough climb rides and enjoyed a lot of her rock selections.
Andy is trash. His classes suck and that fucking lisp of his is the worst. Also says “YEAH, BABY!” every five seconds. Pass.
First ride tonight to Alex’s 20 min beginner class. About to go to bed so I can get a ride in before work tomorrow. Probably going to continue the beginner basics course and take whoever is next.
Worked out with Chase a bunch when my gym was still open and at the time his pushup intense workouts pissed me off after I did my own heavy lifts and then did his workout. Now that I've done SPEERS strength program I'll circle back around. I am repeating speers strength program with blood flow restriction bands. Will report back in a month
Yeah really makes no sense unless they are jealous of her promoting the 80s crew or whatever her main group was during quarantine. Although I think the likely scenario is supposedly they have analytics on rides being taken and on a routine basis clear out older rides that fall below a certain threshold. Seems incredibly dumb to me but no idea how their storage is set up.
I was doing heavy sets on bench and back and then would do a 30 min chest and back peloton workout. Chase's seemed to be pushup heavy which was the last thing I felt like after doing 3 heavy sets and a burnout set on bench. Nothing against chase. If he did a strength program during this stay at home I would absolutely do it.
I bought a peloton and I want to swap the Look Delta pedals for SPD since that’s what I use for my road bike. Any recommendations or should I stick with the pedals that the peloton comes with and buy new shoes?
Check this FAQ from the Reddit group, may answer your questions. https://www.reddit.com/r/pelotoncycle/wiki/gear/shoespedals Haven't tried it myself, can't off-hand recall anyone here who has swapped them.
That seems more plausible, IMO. Reading between the lines, I think she wasn’t well liked by management and Robin. She also had two separate incidents in different classes calling people out in an unprofessional manner. I unfollowed her on Instagram because she was nonstop promoting.
Yeah her 'workout equipment' of essentially bands, jump rope and a ball with her slogan on in it was so over the top I stopped as well.
