It’s 100 proof. I didn’t know how to decode the OBSV so I’ve been going off of this site. From that graphic I just assumed all single barrels were the higher rye mash bill.
Based on the charts the obsv would be my least favorite profile but it’s all ive ever seen. I still love it
one of my spots is trying to sell larceny BP for $100 haha. Im going to wait for the next batch probably or unless one of the other spots around me restocks it.
Thanks Keef for hooking me up with the archives. Cunty thoughts incoming on the bottle: Initial thoughts: nose is heavy on the ethanol with a sweetness punching through at the end First taste: shockingly easy to drink for the proof, the corn is veeery evident on the front end, then I catch some light floral notes in the middle, I also feel like it leaves me with almost a hint of salt. The ethanol on the nose led me to guess itd be hot as fuck but it’s incredibly easy to drink. Finish: Coats the palate nicely and leaves nice flavors lingering after you’ve drank it, I’d say it leaves me with more sweetness than I get on the actual pour but something mild almost like honeysuckle, I also get a little note of dark chocolate in the back of my throat after as well. There’s literally no oak in the flavor profile at all to me, which I found very interesting. all in all I really like it, shockingly smooth pour for the proof, would buy again if there was more
Blantons & EHT Small Batch - liquor store near my house Larceny BP - visa found at a liquor store in the burbs Pappy 15 & Handy - bought from a bar that’s liquidating to help their employees
I cry a little every time I pour one of these knowing how fantastic it is and how much of a bitch it is to find another.
Heaven hill house, Evan Williams 1793, four roses, Evan Williams bottled in bond. All those are sub $30. You want to go up buffalo trace, Elijah Craig
Shit get wild turkey 101. Not the regular bottle; that’s your best bang for buck, dont give a shit handle
If the package you sent me didn't get flagged I don't know what would, my secretary came in my office with it and says, "there's something really slugging around in here". I just said, "yea, it's bourbon from my internet friend"
Wild Turkey 101 is such a great value. Blend of 6 and 8 year barrels. Barrel entry at 115 proof and bottles at 101, less water more fun.
Weller full proof for $399 lol https://uptownspirits.com/product/l...weller-full-proof-uptown-spirits-barrel-pick/
The good stores have it at about $45 here and I need to grab it but I keep getting ecbp instead. Next time
Depends which one it is. I've got the decades, I paid 150 for it. I loved it when I tried it at a bar and so I went and bought the bottle. I don't like it as much as I did but I still revisit the bottle from time to time. Cream of Kentucky is my favorite bourbon in that price range that is non allocated, but to each their own.
It's not as good as the MGP sourced stuff from a few years ago, but it's still decent. I miss the old 7 and 10 year bottles
Opened it last night and was very happy started neat but added some water to open it up and was not disappointed My store had all 3 releases from 2019, expecting to add the other 2
