Great point. Only buy the shirts if you’re not being drug tested. We don’t need people popping for creatine
Curious if this device is worth it? The site doesnt provide much detal... https://www.reponestrength.com/index.html Havent purchased anything for the garage in a while... How much is it after your code?
Thoughts on the home gym simulator/builder: Your core business process is generating review content. It could be worth exploring the outsourcing of that software creation, it would be a natural compliment to your site. It's a HUGE undertaking though. Would the monetization and pull-through rates justify the outsourcing cost? (Doubtful.)
I don’t have it yet, but my coach does and he loves it. It tracks PRs, helps you better gauge what you’re body is ready for on the day, just a great objective measure of performance. The code gets $10 off. Not much, but it’s something
Rogue sold out of their R3 rack before I could buy one. Would love for Vulcan to get their skinny rack back in stock.
The latter, cotton/poly jersey blend. Appreciate you man. here’s a link to the product page. You can see how they fit there. also, use code “TMB” to get them for $15, which is a few bucks above cost. https://garagegymlab.com/product/bar-wars-t-shirt/
This seems dumb. They are breaking records, but are going to put all that on hold to train for boxing??? Also, a 6" height advantage seems pretty massive
Eddie is an entertainer. Thor is going to badly hurt his strongman career but way more money in this Mateusz bout to run shit
That was my thought. They breaking records, but this stupid file probably pays a fuck load more then weight lifting.
its a mult-million dollar payday they were never turning it down. Also will be fun to see Eddie talk mad shit
I apologize if this isn’t the right place to ask, but does anybody have any recommendations for a barbell only workout plan to improve endurance and cardiovascular health? For basically 15 years I’ve been doing the same types of weight training and have been looking at switching to something like barbell complexes to change it up, but a lot of those I’ve found online seem suspect. My focus right now is just increasing endurance, a little weight loss and maintaining the muscle I have, not building more.
That seems miserable and nothing compared to what big time weightlifters do. They're a different breed
Hate to say it but I think Stuhly is right. Crossfit does a lot of cycling of lighter weight Olympic lifting on top of weird, bastardized versions of great exercises like pull-ups. Good cardio and endurance training, especially if you have a weight lifting base that includes familiarity with Olympic lifts.
CrossFit is also a great way to get a fuck ton of injuries, mixing lifting and conditioning in seems way safer
i think i have watched enough shoulder rehab and mobility videos on youtube to determine a few causes for my pain. i'm now an expert and my DMs as well as my venmo are open if any of you need some analysis.
maybe this is missplaced because everyones lifts are bigger than mine but something i've realized while working out in the pandemic If you are starting out don't skip starting strength. That's what I did because I liked getting in the gym 6 days a week with a PPL or some other Upper Lower Split. Now that I am forced to only use a rack and barbell my gains from doing a starting strength type split crushed the gains i had for years of running a PPL
Did a 3x10 of 100s DB press, all time amrap for 1 set is 10 so that was cool. May be a bit fatter but def stronger during this thing
So I think there’s a good mix to have for beginners between the two that’s needed for long term development: -base your training around compound Barbell lifts -develop proficient technique with the squat, bench, deadlift, and press -don’t shy away from doing accessories after the main lift. Muscle moves weight -develop a more complete muscular and movement base for health and work capacity for getting stronger -don’t overdo your “bodybuilding” volume and realize less is more especially when starting out.
getting fat as fuck over here ill never complain about unracked weights, curls in the rack or waiting on someone to finish up their quarter squats again, just give me my gym back
Working on my technique this year. For bench I've moved my grip out just slightly to where my pinky is on the rings. Today I moved my feet IN on deadlift so I could keep my arms closer to my side. I think I like it. My grip felt a little weird, but I felt more stable off the floor.
Felt miserable or sick or I have no clue the past week. Took off 5 days? Kept randomly napping and had the misfortune of waking when it rained or was windy as fuck out. So yeah that sucked. Felt good yesterday so I benched and did some tricep work. Followed that up by barely sleeping and now I have work. Fuck my face. Bought a 88lb kettlebell king comp bell. They had a 75 lb fitness version with the tapered side but I bitched out of getting it. I don't need it but I really don't need the 88 either lol. I'm going try and grab as many of those tapered ones when I can.
Looks like a trio of 45s on each side, can't see what's beyond that but a 25 could be on each side for the 355 total
