That was quite a movie. And I still can’t decide whether Florence Pugh is cute or hot or cute hot or hot cute
Waves was real. Liked how they didn’t give too much away in the trailer. One of the more difficult movies I’ve seen in the last year but thought it was really good. The younger sister is a star in the making.
Lighthouse was prob my favorite movie of last year and I hate that I feel I need to be selective of who I’ve recommended it to
Watched Waves with the wife tonight. We didn’t know what we were getting into from the trailer, but it was heart wrenching.
For some I can't remember, I never saw Lighthouse in the theater and had to wait for a decent copy to hit streaming. Just watched and damn... Immediately hit my top 3 for the year. Dafoe just kills it and Pattinson made me feel a lot better about the Batman. I just always connected him with Twilight. A24 is the best EC out there IMO. Just about everything they do is a home run, at least to the point that if I see A24 it goes on top of my watch list. Eggers definitely knows the kind of horror I love.
Just saw Midsommar last night. Really liked it a lot, but I still think hereditary is the superior film.
Finally saw The Lighthouse this past weekend. What a wild ride. Dafoe was was fucking awesome. Can’t get the shanty from the closing credits out of my head.
