I drove by Yates Cider Mill earlier this afternoon. Place was a fucking shit show. Can’t believe they opened up yesterday.
Found myself on the road with a couple assholes in their "classic" cars going 10 mph under the limit then reving it up sporadically today. My first thought, all those jack assess are probably yucking it up on Woodward in lawnchairs with loud cars.
Was confused by this too. Are they claiming to be carry out food? Seem obvious they shouldn’t be open
Have a course for a client, and I talked to the GM on Friday and he said they were sold out for the day by 9am. Said the improvised hand carts were hilarious. Dudes using dollie and the like.
Did the same. Friend wanted ice cream from there (the line for it is outside) and I'm like, we'll drive by, but if there's any line at all, we're going to Culver's instead. I knew it would be packed, but didn't expect to see the entire parking lot full like a normal spring day. Noped right on by.
I have no issues if they want to open for carry out. There is only one way in, and one way out. It was the amount of people outside hanging out. Even that little park across the street was busy. They should have closed off all benches and picnic tables
Me either in terms of being open for serving the food. Like you said though it shouldn’t be left as this massive hang out zone. Is what it is, too many people suck at life
Yeah, this will calm a huge sector of people even though it is at 25% on the opening. I wish they would have detailed a bit more what phase 4 and 5 look like in terms of gathering size expectations and such.
That idiot city council woman from Royal Oak who went to the protests got busted for shoplifting. Haha, hopefully that gets her kicked off finally. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/n...ologizes-after-shoplifting-meijer/3087592001/
fan of the state of michigan went there probably 10-15 times the last year when i dated my ex. much better than ohio iyam lansing sucks ass but big fan of the up and grand rapids area
I'm pretty sure everything south of Dearborn already is. If you gave the bottom 30 miles of Michigan between Lake Erie and 69 to Ohio the average IQ of both states would go up 10 points.
The curve is definitely flatten. It’s going to be a shit show if she extends this thing any longer than the 28th
Baring the numbers spiking with shit opening at big 3 and what not we will move to the next phase. Just wish there was some more details on that phase as it’s vague in a lot of ways
The next phase is "small groups with social distancing" for gatherings. No idea if that is 10 or 25. Still no in-restaurant service, but most other businesses open with safety and social distancing plans. Small groups okay for summer kids programs, but all other school is remote.
I keep getting emails from travel baseball host sites “when plan to be playing this summer as scheduled” I don’t see how you host an event with 10 to 30 teams in June with gathering restrictions under 100. But $$$ right
I don’t plan on going to a restaurant any time soon for sit down service, but what’s the big deal with them opening at 25% capacity, and say no more than 6 per table? They should be included in the next phase.
My guess is it has everything to do with looking around the country and seeing these restaurants continue to operate outside of the guidelines. Keeping them carry out only eliminates that risk.
