I swear to fucking god, I opened this article expecting to hear these huge goggles were Trumps idea of protection against Coronavirus.. Then I read the mis information about the kids..
lmaoooo him telling states to reopen and not giving a shit about masks, but now pussy boy is locking down the wh and making them wear masks that’s good shit
I've wondered (and hoped) that they know the plan to save lives but don't want to enact it at the WH to not seem weak. Please, continue to thumb your nose at staying safe for the sake of the economy.
If schools in MI go back and require masks and some weird ass schedule we will likely flip to online homeschooling for ours. The both have some anxiety and that would effect them for sure being in a building like that.
Northwestern is suspending contributions to retirement plans for faculty and staff through December Yikes. If a school like Northwestern is having to take such measures...
This crisis is going to expose the fact that administration has bloated to a ridiculous degree over the past 20 years in nearly every college and university. That's the real crisis here. Maybe it will be a reckoning. I don't know.
It’s nerve wrecking as an adult in an office. I couldn’t imagine doing the same if you were a kid. It takes a lot and you have to watch and pay extra attention to whatever you touch and it’s not like they’d let the kids go wash their hands when they need to.
Fauci either needs to quarantine or explain his “limited” contact and why he doesn’t have to. Trump creates enough confusion as is. I don’t think he’s intentionally trying to create a problem but I don’t think he’s handling this properly as of now.
They lost me on that first paragraph. Did I miss it somewhere but is it actually believed that kids that contract covid-19 are less contagious? Is that even possible?
There is a single study that said this sort of maybe (and a TON of people are disagreeing with it) and it got blasted all over OAN and i bet Fox News too so it might as well be in the bible at this point
if we had tons of widely available tests, masks, and sanitation materials, we could soft reopen the entire country. The blame for the above falls with the federal gov't. Period.
Administrative bloat is certainly a problem but you can't talk about the financial picture (at least of public institutions) without also mentioning the degree to which taxpayers have simply stopped funding them. And then there's the whole misplaced priorities angle with regard to major donors.
when you start testing aggressively as soon as the virus hits your country and don’t take the first 6 weeks off pretending there’s no problem, you don’t have to test as much. Same reason South Korea has been able to slow down testing. Testing early is the key. If you don’t do that like the US didn’t, you have to test at high levels and socially distance. When you stop social distancing too early like the US has, you have to test at extreme levels to have any chance of containing. The US as a whole should be testing at the same level the White House does. That is likely 5-10 million tests a day. We have done 8 million in 3 months.
Fucking moron just pulled an audible and said we are testing more per capita than some countries combined. (Well moron, that is how math works, but it would be ALL not some.)
Agreed. I don’t know why states haven’t developed aggressive contact tracing systems yet. Illinois is up to 20,000 tests a day but if you’re just hoping people come in, you’re not going to stop anything. I think we’re at a 17% positive test rate which in the bottom 20% of the country
I don’t think he knows what it means as evidenced by what I just posted. He did mention about five or six countries we test at a higher per capita rate and then said many many more.
Just got the email, our earliest possible date back is August 1st. I feel like it’s pushed back a month every month.
My mother in law has to drive almost 2 hours to another town to get tested without symptoms and she lives in the most populous areas of Arkansas. They’re only testing symptomatic people.
Most states are about to go bankrupt. We are seeing conversations about laying off cops, firefighters and other state employees. The state of Illinois certainly has their own financial problems. To build out a program like we need, the federal government either needs to do it or give the states billions to do it themselves. The states don’t have the ability to print money like the federal government.
Why can't they do push-ups at home like the rest of us? Must leg day be skipped if you can't gaze at yourself in the mirror of your local gym? I am confused.
i’ve heard a lot of the stupid shit he’s said before but this is way worse than normal this is completely incoherent
