I would imagine the TV ratings would be huge. Curious if they get any commercial money during the airing of the races. That could give them a bump in revenue.
Is this a surprise to anyone? I guess the question becomes who replaces Seb... Lewis or Max. my money would be on Max unless Ferrari is insane and brings back Alonso
I'm going to predict that Red Bull will pony up whatever it takes to keep Max and he stays there. Bottas then goes to Ferrari to get out of Lewis' enormous shadow and then Merc reaches down to grab George Russell.
Hulkenbergs problem is that he believes he's as talented as the press clippings say from 7 years ago. Problem is, he isn't.
watched both seasons last week and I'm now obsessed with F1 and Lewis Hamilton. Will see if I'm still interested in August though...
As much as I love Charles... Max is probably the fastest driver on the grid. Charles grew a ton as the season went on. But is he in that same class? Maybe with more time but I would as would everyone Max
Lewis and Max in their own tier. Everyone else currently below them but there are a lot of young guys out there who will be fighting hard the next couple years. Guys like Sainz, Norris, Albon, Russell.
He would be a good choice if you are looking to make LeClerc the clear #1 somewhat like Lewis/Bottas. He seems to get along with everyone, will get the points he's supposed to get, won't be a pushover but probably won't make Charles feel threatened
If you want a clear #2 that won’t threaten Charles you could do so much better. I have a hard time believing Ferrari would put all its faith in Charles. That’s never seemed to be the vision this team has. They always select the best of the best to occupy that number 1. It would show incredible faith in Charles after just a single year in that seat to be given the #1 role with Lewis and Max available. I don’t believe Lewis would leave. I think he’s forever been tied to Mercedes and he and Toto are locked at the hip. I could see Seb going back to Redbull and Max ending up at Ferrari. That’s my prediction
I think that you're assuming Ferrari has a great team principal situation like Merc has with Toto. The Ferrari ones post-Brawn have been a collection of idiots. Now, it's not an easy job, but still. I think at this point, it's all about whether or not LH really wants to wear red at some point. I don't know. It'll be most interesting to see where Seb lands if NOT RBR. I can't imagine anywhere that he'd fit in where had a chance to win.
Seems like F1 is going to wait till July to kick off racing. I don't think a lack of fans will be noticed outside of the winners presentation.
Tracks receive zero money from television and at one point they did not receive any financial support from the GP sponsor, but that may have changed in recent years. The tracks majority form of revenue is ticket sales.
Just when you think that Cyril could not be any less likable. Renault has probably been the least loyal team to their drivers over the years.
Seb walking away still with prime years left is gonna suck. Just like Alonso doing the same the last two years.
Racing Point I forget if their plan is going to be to build engines or not. IIRC they were open to a Cosworth type engine deal if the new regs make it work.
Which sucks for me because I'm so conflicted. On one hand, I do not like Lance's silver spooned ass. On the other hand, Aston Martin cars and their branding is sweet.
Curious how long his daddy allows his son’s sub par skills in that car. I guess he could be a #2 driver for life.
Welcome to our happy little family. McLaren made some awesome strides. And upgraded its driver lineup for next year.
It really sucks that the changes to the sport are going to come a year or two late and cost us Williams.
I’ve decided that although there is very little reason to like them other than being American I’m Team Haas.
I'm at the point now where I'm tired of these articles. EVERYONE should know Cyril is a self-absorbed piece of shit. Use him like he's going to use you and don't expect any kind of loyalty. Who's dick is he sucking in Paris to keep his job?
Nothing wrong with Haas other than their drivers are just ho hum imo. They're the only team owned by an American though so I always root for a good result for them. I really don't have a single favorite team or driver yet since following F1 closely for a couple years. If I were to lean towards one though it would probably be Red Bull just because I like Max, Albon, and Horner.
