Seems to be what everyone on the internet is doing. You can't see outside the 3rd 45. So it's 315+ Could easily be a pair of 10 hidden on each side....so since we can't see it let's take down this downs kid a notch.
Even with that, the camera zooms in while he's actually benching. My cynical self is wondering if they had a person on each side
I don't really think it's a flex... All I'm saying is the kid either has unbelievable strength to bench 355 with that body type or there's some shenanigans going on when the camera zooms in
Man, I hope I never get to a point in my life where I’m so insecure I have to question the motives of a person with disabilities. 355 is an extremely achievable bench press for most every man. Even if the weight isn’t correct, absolutely 0 people were harmed.
At worst HS kids did math wrong and kid lifted 345, which is fucking stout for anyone in HS. Impressive
Took a bad turn immediately when ppl tried to dunk on a kid with disabilities and claim it was fake/doctored. Granted, other morons are doing that on the internet where it's also been posted, so it's not like it was an original thought
Wild idea that seems to not take a foot hold in the fitness industry: Appreciate people’s big lifts regardless of equipment, where they are in their training career, whether the plates were calibrated or not, etc. This shit takes a lot of hard work for a hobby. Just appreciate it and celebrate it
Shit happens. Lifting weights is fucking hard. We see the work that goes into it. I think we’d all be better served to just view these as “hey this person worked hard for that and I know they’re proud”
Now with that said, when I finally outbench bigjrock im going to talk shit for the next calendar year
Topic shouldn't go on but if you think it's fake, the only people to blame are the ones exploiting it. Kid is just doing what they set him up with. I'm proud as fuck of my brother who's about to trap bar 500 in the next 2 months but I'd be a pretty big dbag if I was lying about that. I should have done it earlier but only recently have been making him realize how much he's lifting(and putting in a notebook every day) instead of just putting weights on a bar and saying lift it.
Have been lifting without a belt besides my top squats which I'm pushing pretty hard, I don't understand why anyone would do this willingly. Worst glute soreness I've ever had even though deadlifts sets have been pretty easy. Killy, you are sick.
I have this one and really like it: It's expensive / probably overpriced ($250+) but installs relatively easily and is built rock solid - have had it about 3 years over quite a few back workouts so it's been worth it. The different grip angles are nice. https://www.gronkfitnessproducts.com/products/gf-wall-mounted-pull-up-bar
Im doing conventional deadlifts on my secondary pulling day for sets of 6. insert Mike Tyson “I broke my back. Spinal”
Anyone have recommendations for a Hook of some kind for in-home band workouts. Need to incorporate some for PT purposes and I'm fucking dying at how weak my upper body is getting
Placed a pre-order with Rep at the beginning of April. The anticipated ship date was 4/15-4/30. I hadn't heard anything so I emailed them last Thursday. No response, so I sent another email this morning. Their reply: That's a really shitty way to do business. I get stuff is delayed, but it shouldn't take 2-weeks and the customer contacting you in order for a notice to come back.
What did you order from them. I've got multiple alerts to multiple emails set up for just about every fitness site out there waiting for shit to get back in stock. Vulcan completely took their site down.
HIs body type looks perfect for benching to me. I think the greatest feat of strength I have seen is actually by a disabled person. I'll try to look for it but a Chinese guy with no legs benching 500 pounds. Think about that for a second. EDIT: looked for it but could only find this. HOLY SHIT lol. This is unreal. I think the Chinese guy was much smaller than this, but this is still unbelievable. EDIT: Actually found it. Guy weighs 149 pounds.
He passed away recently :( Guy was awesome and had an infectious personality it seemed. Strength world is better because of him
Florida. Gunna watch their IG story for the first couple days and see how it goes. I’ve been in a habit of going between 6-7am the last few months before this started so hopefully I won’t be dealing with any crowding/capacity issues.
Just grabbed this: https://www.titan.fitness/endurance...-kg/422501.2.html?cgid=kettlebells-adjustable
So did they actually charge your card when you ordered because they had to know shit was delayed in April
bought alsruhe's corona bodyweight program because i dont think gyms up here are gonna open again any time soon and it kicked my ass because i never do conditioning /tweet
Pretty cool. Ed Coan and a few other cats in the strength game are raising money for nokidshungry.org. They have fundraisers with prizes that you can train with them for a day. Check it out if you are so inclined. http://join.nokidhungry.org/site/TR/PFR/DD_Pers_Fund_13?pg=team&fr_id=1473&team_id=172398
