came to post, that is a 9-minute eye orgasm (ok, maybe 8 after the nerds are done talking). Easily the best thing I've seen of PS5 yet. I am excite
I don't think Unreal 5 is widely available yet so probably be a few years before we see something like that I'm guessing.
Tim Sweeney of Epic says the PS5 SSD is much faster than anything available for PC currently and that the Unreal 5 demo wouldn't be possible on PC. Not sure I buy that but passing it along anyway.
The ssd may he faster since new technology is always coming out, but I don’t believe unreal 5 will be unplayable on a pc as long as you’ve got a graphics card capable of ray tracing.
Games won't be anything near what it looked like in that demo for a few years but if that's a demo of what the middle or even end of console games will be capable of achieving, holy fuck. Also of note, The Mandalorian also used Unreal Engine, now imagine what you saw in that tech demo in the next Jedi Fallen Order or a remaster Knights of the Old Republic game.
Yearly EA Access sub is on sale at Amazon for $25. They just added FIFA and NHL 20 to the vault so unlimited play. I've spent many more hours playing games from ea vault than the free PS+ games. Options aren't great compared to Xbox but they have newest sports games, nfs, and battlefield. Wish they had Rory McIlroy game though.
The part I'm slightly skeptical on is the "directly import from ZBrush" on texture models, are games gonna be 500 gigs each now? How do you keep file sizes under control w/o doing the usual compression? There's no way any real game will be able to fully utlize of the "hundreds of billions of triangles in this scene" part of UE5.
I was already excited, but now I'm definitely sold on Ghost. Action looks excllent, I get a Horizon vibe from the exploration, looks like a fascinating world to explore.
Heat is the newest. It's not in the vault yet, but you still get a 10 hour trial, and I've heard rumblings it could join the vault early like FIFA and NHL. Rivals is one of the earlier games to come out this generation but I surprisingly liked it and I'm not a big racing game fan.
My biggest hope fOr ghosts is that it doesn’t allow you to get lost in an open world like RDR but moreso breadcrumbs you along like HZD. I’m all for it opening up for exploration but i really loved how hzd and GoW kind of lead you along the path for a while
I’ll admit the world itself fascinated me (cybertronic dinosaurs, ancient civilization, protagonist being an outcast, etc.) I want to eventually dive back into it but right now AC Odyssey has sucked me in
Graphics looked super impressive, still learned next to nothing about the combat, what it would feel like to actually play etc.
We’re you going into the menu to do it? I was doing that before I realized you can just do it on the when you’re running around.
just out of curiosity, what were you looking for to tell you that? They did show different weapons, the "charms" you can use and how they upgrade, the two different play styles, etc. I feel like there's more there than we typically get about a game ahead of its release.
Yeah this was something I thought was great too, even if I never use it, just seeing something new in a game these days makes me want to support it.
I just played this game. I thought it was quite fun. It wasn't as easy to be stealthy as on some of the newer ones.
Watched Tsushima featurette and expected something more considering how long we had to wait to see gameplay. Seems like a run of the mill sandbox game but hopefully the story is good.
