thats what I tell my squad before every game Spoiler also "Lets try and make the other team quit the league"
I just got to level 50 on the XP path and I pulled these wrist guards that were sell now for over 10k. I don’t care about them, but not something you see every day. Then in the same pack I just pulled Yelich. First diamond I ever pulled in a pack.
I completed the national conquest map and it made me so much worse at the game, because I did it all on rookie and now allstar feels impossible
I have the same issues. I absolutely could not touch Paddack on Veteran. So much so that I lost to them about 10-12 times on Conquest, I don't even think I got one hit and the only time I was on base it was because of an error. As a result I had to play them on All Star. First game I had 5 hits and two homers against him. Makes no fucking sense at all.
Finally got my 2nd inning boss card my lineup is pretty good now: Cobb RF Hanley SS Soto LF Aranado 3B Griffey CF (I rake with this card even though it’s only an 83) Sanchez C Frank Thomas 1B Gleyber 2B mays, Blackmon, tturner, posada, Boggs on my bench Unfortunately I still suck
Came across this guy on twitter. Dude had a million stubs like 3 days after release and completed every live series collection which is "worth" another 1 or 2 million if you were to just buy every card off the market. I thought I had a decent amount of stubs but damn edit: and to clarify it's all from just working the market
Watch a video of a guy last night that spend 1.8m stubs on day 1 to completely every team set, which got him the 99 Mantle. He got 99 Sheffield along the way too. He didn't show all of it but I assume he just went to the market and bought each of the shitty 60 overall guys for each team.
Yeah a bunch of people drop $1000’s day 1 to buy every card to complete collections. They get 99 Mantle, 99 Sheffield, and 99 Biggio
It was this guy. When he goes to team pages he has 40 for every team and just auto collects them. I assume he just went and bought every card? I wonder how much that would cost in today's market. Is is still possible to do it? And the 99 Mantle isn't for sale right? I haven't seen it.
Yeah the collection cards are non auctionable. You get a bunch of 90+ cards for each team, then 6 players for divisions, the Biggio is for AL, the Sheffield is for NL, and Mantle is for all. Last I heard it was like 1.8 million stubs ($1200)
Yea a few of them like Trout are outrageous. But it's that easy, just buy every player in the market and then add them to your collection? I might hey bored this weekend.
Yeah that’s it just buy and complete collections. You earn xp and stubs as you do it as well. I have all collections besides Yankees, Angels, Astros
What game modes do you play? I saw something online that said March to October can help on those harder teams.
Mainly play offline because of the fielding. Have grinded a lot of March to October and Showdowns. With those you get xp and affinity points. The affinity points lead to face of the franchise cards, future stars cards, and affinity packs
Anyone still playing this? Did the April monthly award and completed the player tournament. Some cards are really nice in there. All can flat out rake. Tim Anderson Zimmerman Gallo Amir Garrett 85 is nice in the pen as well. Absolutely ridiculous. Didi 93, his power swing is basically most players contact swing. I think there is a way you can upgrade his card as well. Glasnow 87. He has an insanely quick wind up which makes him great for playing Conquest and the like. I could get through an inning with him on all star quicker than I could most other pitchers on Vet. He's just nasty. Other cards I really enjoyed but retired. Trea Turner Ozzie Albies Best pull of late is Yates.
Still play this a ton but kinda frustrated about how radically different the gameplay modes within DD are - I really need to get better at timing and laying off knuckle curves in the dirt. I’ve got a good roster (prospect Robert, Players Tournament Lux, 2nd Inning Hanley, Bellinger, POTM Zimmerman, FOTF Soto, 3rd Inning Chipper, MVP Posey is my lineup) but I’m still just shit hitting.
What hitter view do you use? I was terrible at breaking pitches until I moved to zoom and got used to it.
I was lololololol bad, moved to zoom last weekend and now it’s lol bad but I’m much better at punishing mistakes and laying off wide or high pitches. Just haven’t figured out what to do about breaking pitches that are low. I’ve read there is some way to pick up what type of pitch is being thrown but I can’t for the life of me do that, so a guy like Walker Buehler who is mixing an upper 90s FB with a knuckle curve absolutely kills me; I do worse against him than Kluber
What modes are you playing that you got all that? I'm still trying to figure out how the hell to get all these points for the 3rd inning. Same, Giolito and Paddack kill me. Also, I've found I really cannot lay off anything that is straight on and low or high. Swing every fucking time.
The conquest maps crap out good packs; I think the really easy Mother’s Day map had like 4 BIAH packs and the 2nd and 3rd inning maps had a bunch of prospect packs and other goodies. Do a lot of moments and the program showdowns to grind out XP, which is where Posey came from.
The update they put out last night is supposed to address hitting in DD I guess. - Based on community feedback, we have increased the size of the PCI slightly and increased the timing window slightly in all Diamond Dynasty modes.
Wish they’d change up the moments for the inning programs. Last year you’d use your DD team to play challenges sometimes. This year it’s like 8 different challenges that are nearly the same; “Get 8 hits and 4 XBH in this 4 game series” etc.
Equipment is only for created players, right? And I assume created players suck when you first make them? How do you even make them better?
I think to make them better for DD use there’s specific moments for each position. I haven’t done a CAP outside of RTTS though, I always just use the real cards for my DD squad so might be missing something.
