Yeah, I know it’s easy to sound like it’s just blindly defending Dave/Barstool, and I don’t expect non barstool “fans” to know Dave just goes rogue to be in character and get a reaction. But there are tons of good things he + the company has done for people, that’s for sure.

 

Eh they don’t necessarily “do their own thing” they’re both very involved. In fact big cat was disagreeing with Dave about Fauci on the rundown yesterday.
But some people think the only acceptable position for them to take is to quit barstool.

 

Sorry, I guess what I meant is they aren’t afraid to publicly have their own opinion. They “do their own thing” in the sense they’re not just yes men/clones of Dave.

Dave was just on CNBC, say what you will about him but he plays his part perfectly and is basically must watch tv.

While I don't agree with Dave's rant, I get where he's coming from. Throughout this whole pandemic there has been no uniformity between federal and local government and the media narrative. That is naturally going to create a lot of confusion and mistrust.

If you're a small business owner/worker and you've been out of work for 2 months, it's understandable why all of the conflicting messages from the government/media would create a sense of frustration to the point where you would say "fuck the risk, let me work and make an income for myself/ my family!"
