I think he’s one of the more valuable and important people at barstool. ZBT has a huge reach and they are very open and vulnerable
Honestly don't understand how you could like barstool at all and not like chaps. He's hilarious and seems like a genuinely good dude.
Damn, CHD made 600k and 400k after the first year After year 2 wanted to re-negotiate Wanted $1mil guarantee salary To be free-lancers and not barstool employees 50% of all CHD sales...merchandise, ads, etc Wanted the IP to CHD
I stopped listening so I could turn on The Last Dance, it sounded like Alex might be smarter than the other one.
not much after that Pres thinks Sofia is gonna sue barstool and Alex...doesn’t know what for Alex wants barstool to defend her once Sofia sues her...said they wont
It's not that hard to understand honestly. Barstool is great at manipulating talent to stay. Alex has started dating an HBO exec who "understands" the industry and wants to get her paid. Sophia is going to be left behind.
I think Sophia dates the HBO guy who’s been shopping their pod around. She still sounds like the one who’s been handling it the worst though.
Chaps seems like a nice guy and I don't know what his demons are but he is very lucky that he didn't end up doing real time or getting killed by that cop he tuned up.
I’m guessing Sofia (dark hair) side is: We were getting screwed so I told Alex we needed to leave. Barstool stepped up for us. I told Alex we needed to either still leave or hold out until better. Alex caved and gave in. She then cut me out because I pissed off Barstool.
I saw “call her daddy” was trending on twitter so I read some of the tweets. Kind of funny all of their fans are either roasting that HBO dude, or just talking how dumb it was they constantly said they were poor when Pres said they made 500K last year.
I’m not a Barstool guy or a Call Her Daddy listener but I’m quite fascinated by all of this. Sofia’s Trumpian negotiating tactics are way more entertaining to hear about when it doesn’t involve the collapse of ones country.
He was drunk floating a river and tried to fight a police officer, put him in a headlock iirc. He had a sentence where he had to go into jail on certain weekends and holidays, not sure if he still has to
he wrote a blog explaining what happened https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog...i-got-arrested-for-aggravated-assault-in-2011
Not really. Intellectual property is only valuable when you can use it. Neither side benefits from walking away.
Obviously a majority of their newer revenue was gambling related which should start to reappear in the next month or so when sports come back. Their podcast / click revenue is probably enough to keep them afloat for a while but not ideal longterm obviously. Add to it that online gambling + sports betting could all be in play in the next 12 months for even more states due to tax revenue needs could be huge for their bounce back.
Not doing great =\= just wanting more money or more growth. CHD made girls aware of BS or made girls change opinions on BS or whatever the case may be. CHD was a nice side piece for Dave if you .
I think you missed my point. It’s undoubtedly a huge revenue generator for them. Barstool could keep the IP and make zero money off of it, or pay the content producers more and have some revenue. That’s an easy choice regardless of the balance sheet. They would be making a large offer to keep the podcast going regardless of how well they were doing.
PMT guys have said a couple times that listenership is down since a lot of their content is consumed during commutes to and from work
Right he offered to pay them more and let them out of their deal 6 months early the deal was completely one sided because they want and/or needed the cash it wasn’t just a better offer. It was basically the best offer
I've definitely been listening less for this exact reason. Plus I'll bet some of the advertisers are pulling back on ad buys.
Same here. I went from driving a minimum of an hour per day to barely 20 minutes. Can't keep up with PMT's 2 hour episodes when it takes me a week to get through just one
The monday ones reviewing the Last Dance are interesting to me since Big Cat is such a Bulls guy and they've had good interviews related to it. The things they're trying to do to fill gaps (Billy, Dungeons and Dragons, etc) get skipped generally.
