Looks my local stores aren't selling much on their websites and are directing people to their discog pages so I'll be looking there for sure.
Tyler Childers 13 mins · From Sturgill… To the fans, As incredibly disappointing as it is to announce, A Good Look’n Tour is officially cancelled. All remaining shows will not be rescheduled to ensure everyone is refunded their money as soon as possible. There was much optimistic desire behind the scenes to reschedule postponed dates and offer refunds to anyone who desired or could not attend the new date. However no one can accurately predict when it might actually be possible to perform those shows in a safe and responsible manner and I personally would not feel good about putting thousands of people in an arena any time this year. I’d very much like to personally thank all the fans, my band & crew, and the entire Tyler Childers camp for the limited amount of beautiful time we got to share together on the road this year. I look forward to getting myself healthy and a bright future full of new music to play for you when we can all be together again. - Sturgill From AEG Presents: Tickets purchased will automatically be refunded from the ticketing company in approximately 30 days. For purchases made in-person at a box office please contact the venue directly. - Team Tyler
Really glad I decided to go to the Duluth show and not just Nashville. Sorry to those who missed out.
I cant believe its been 2 months since I went to the final SS show. TC played a long ass set for an opener, which was badass and I loved S&F live. I was quite nervous attending, felt very irresponsible for doing it, but I had a feeling it would be the final concert for a long long time, and I got greedy. Crazy that people could have gotten the virus from SS from being in the PIT.
I had tickets to see Stapleton the day Thursday every thing started shutting down Before they announced the concert was postponed, we had some real serious difficulty deciding if we would go or not, still not sure what we would have done
I was supposed to be at the first show that was cancelled. So bummed but glad I got to see one of the club shows in the Fall.
FYI for those of you whose tickets were via TicketMaster. I got an email from TM saying it was cancelled, which I had seen officially from Sturgills social accounts many days prior. The email in and of itself is expected - and says something about a refund, which would be normal for those who got their tickets like me. I bought from the original ticket marketplace (TM) via CC so surely the refund would be straightforward/automatic, even if it takes a few days to process. NBD. Exact language is the "refund will be on its way to your account soon" We'll I'm not positive, but it looks like they will not process any refunds within 30 days, and even if you manually "request" a refund (what else would I request for cancelled tickets?), it won't be processed for ~30 days. The language is kind of fuzzy, but it reads like if you don't login and request the refund manually (which is just a button on their site), the automatic refund will (possibly?) not hit until May of 2021. YMMV. The amount isn't that much, but file that under businesses behaving badly. I manually requested and snoozed the email for 30 days. Surely they don't hold onto the amount for much more than 30 days. Imagine the cash they are holding for ~30 days on gate receipts to all cancelled events during covid .
Also, dude was in a groove. I finally watched a few videos on Saturday night. I didn't go to Bham or Knoxville that first week. I love when he plays Somedays like this
They have other items but its more about contributing to a good cause and maybe getting a live show out of it.
Can only assume it's this one. https://uproxx.com/indie/sturgill-simpson-interview-sound-and-fury-tour/
Shower thoughts: I'd love to get a mesh of Sturgill and Tyler's band to produce an album with a Lynyrd Skynyrd - Street Survivors vibe. Maybe add another hitting guitar player. All the instruments and Sturgill on lead while back up vocaling like Steve Gaines. Give Tyler the main vocals. Three guitar attack. Keys.
