Onions, peppers and cabbage are staples for me. Just can’t duplicate that flavor any other way. Also love taters. Usually cut them into bite sized pieces and hit them with oil garlic and salt.
Probably pork ribs, might toss some beef short ribs on the side. Maybe some homemade pintos, side salad with Dijon vinaigrette
We've been doing curbside grocery pickup and it's spotty at best with what you get. You'll order a bag of chips and a fun size will show up but I ordered babyback ribs for Memorial Day and got 2 sides of the biggest pork spareribs I've ever seen. Win some, lose some. Can't wait to get them on the smoker.
Not bbq but bbq-adjacent (due to rub recommendation). I cooked some tilapia on the griddle last night for fish tacos using this: https://www.wickedque.net/store/p10/Key_Lime_Jerk.html Holy fuck. Highly recommended.
I did not apply for our membership, so I had no idea that a TIN was required. I thought it was like Sam’s.
I knew what you meant by TIN. We have a membership through an entity that is not a restaurant. I did not apply for it, so I admittedly know very little about the requirements. There's a greater than zero percent chance there were some liberties taken.
You have to check it out but I get into my Restaurant store through this. This is your membership $ in lieu of paying them direct. Cuts are far superior to anything else I have around here and the costs are always very reasonable. https://www.kcbs.us/join_now.php Edit: I dont have a TIN and this gets me around the loophole. Just make sure you can get into your local place before paying any money obviously. I believe I verified through the link.
My neighbor hooked me up yesterday. Got it running and "seasoned" last night. Gonna fire it up today.
Hooked you up like you can borrow it? Or were they like, here's a free pellet smoker that I never used.
Hooked up like he is an authorized distributor out of his flooring company's shop. He gave me a crazy good deal and told me as long as he doesn't see us moving out in the middle of the night, we can just pay him as we have extra money. We've gotten along really well with them since we moved in a couple years ago. He did let me borrow his tailgater one for like the last 2 months. He knew what he was doing. Once I started using it, no way I was going to go back to using my old grill.
Thats pretty much what he told me. He said he normally keeps around 8 at his shop. Right before TN went to stay at home he sold out in a week. Just last week was he able to start getting them in from Traeger again and when I picked this one up it was his last one in stock outside of 1 big tow behind model and a couple of the small portable renegades or whatever they are called (look like black boxes). And he really only deals in the bigger pro series, ironwood or timberline series. Hell while i was up there he got 2 calls asking for ironwood ones.
They knew what they were doing when they let me borrow the little tailgater one to try out. They also know during normal times we like to have folks over all the time so I'm sure I'll have at least one or two friends buy one from him.
Cut up my strip loin last night. Here’s some of the steaks once I remembered to snap a pic while vac. sealing.
Lime juice, chipotle pepper, garlic salt, honey marinade Grill Details: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...wn/grilled-pork-tenderloin-recipe-1917672.amp
This is where I found out about how to get around TIN for my local store. There is a link in there for the chain I go to, if there is one close to you I highly recommend it. https://tvwbb.com/threads/reminder-about-restaurant-depot-for-kcbs-members.77096/
Are RD 's prices better than Sams? Will they let me in to look around and check things out if I don't have a membership?
