yeah I figured its probably that, I just remember the last couple of national albums were announced 5 or 6 months ahead of release when it seems like most do the 2 or 3 month thing now.
This song is good. but so are all of the other songs.... I can hear beach house in some of these songs, but who else describes each of these songs? Maybe some Sufjan?
Omni with a single for Adult Swim called Constant Reminder can't figure out how to embed it https://www.adultswim.com/music/singles/31
I don't know anything about Sufjan Stevens as a person but I'd rather listen to most top 40 music than anything I've ever heard of his. Not my thing in the least
Perhaps, but I doubt that. Anyways, This is easily her best work by far, but I will admit I haven't heard her debut 2005 album, which came a year before Beach House and 5 years after Sufjan.. Tell me about it.
If you are a big fan of Dave Sitek like I am....his first release since 2010. I sure hope he is saving a lot for the next TVOTR album, which hasn't released since 2014.
Thats how I felt....and then I saw him on ACL high as fuck, and finally recognized the greatness. Sometimes that is what it takes, and I love it when it happens. I would pay high $$ to see him play again.
I remember being front row right in between Josh and Josh in 2016. Even though I don't like Ritter's more recent albums all that much, I will never miss his live shows.
agreed all around. “So runs the world away” is a perfect record. I haven’t seen him since the “the beast in his tracks” era but would gladly see him again
Maybe its the weed. Perhaps he elevates the songs LIVE? He does do that. He isn't the only artist that does that.
his live shows are *fun* but that’s because I just enjoy live music. never in a million years would I choose to listen to his music though
I finally got to listen to 2 early The Radio Dept. albums and its far better than I wished it could be. Its time for another.
That was so sad. Watching their full album video after that happened was ruthless. I want to watch it again. Really elevated that 2010 album.
I saw the national perform the day he died and hearing them announce it onstage was rough... matt was pretty emotional
Good call. I have always found his albums to be boring, but then I saw him live last January, and he did the same thing to me Sufjan did. Blew my fucking mind. We had 1st row balcony for that one.
I saw them open up for Bright Eyes in 2007. I also saw one of them with Conor in 2017 along with Tim Kasher and Frances Quinlan. Unsure what happened to the other one but it was supposed to be both brothers.
also the last public update I ever saw was saying Tunde wouldn't care to come back since having a family
radio dept theyve released a couple of singles over the last year and have hinted at new music sometime this year
I was let down that Omni single is just that, didnt make the cut off the last album. I was really pumped that we may have Idles (June 19th), Protomartyr (8 days to go) and Omni in short order.
they've released some killer singles that haven't made their way to albums Delicacy/I Don't Dance and Confessional (off the 7'' with Sunset Preacher) are all such great jams
Really digging this Kidbug album out today. Members of Eerie Wanda, Best Coast, Swans, Dumb Numbers and The Melvins. Throwback alt-rock/grungy sound.
