White men are a lost cause. White women voted for a misogynistic racist piece of shit. They continue to slide under the radar for blame despite women being continually treated like trash by the GOP.
It really is wild how much a pass white women get. They may not be the level of trash conservative white men are, but they're the second worst group of people in this country by a large margin. Just look at all these "karen" videos that have popped up as of let. Pure fucking trash.
That’s all well and good, but when talking about blame for Trump winning, failing to mention the demographic that not only voted for him in the highest raw numbers, but also in the greatest proportion, and instead placing blame on a group that voted 53% in favor of him is ludicrous.
Finally a gift both Democrats and Republicans can agree will please most Trump supporters. They better start ramping up the presses to meet the demand. It really would make shopping for Christmas much easier if they offered multiple versions.
White men have been mentioned time and time again. Failing not to mention the ONLY OTHER GROUP that had the majority vote for him is dumb.
I think it’s pretty crappy to be stating that any group of people (sorted by sex and skin color) is “trash” or the “worst group of people in this country”. It simplifies issues that are more complex and hampers the opportunity for useful discussion.
White women are awful for sure, but in the context of this discussion - not mentioning white men is crazy. If white men voted like white women in 2016, Trump is defeated in a landslide.
I don't give a fuck, conservative white people been doing it to everyone else for years. It's their turn now. Fuck them, they can suck my dick. It's all their faults we're in this fucking situation.
Surely you can recognize that conservative white people aren’t the ones solely responsible for the ailments of the US? If conservative white people are the problem because they’ve disenfranchised others, why do you think they do that?
I always tell Republicans the Republican Party is shit. Sort of gives them a layer of separation so as not to be a personal attack directly at them (ha, at first).
The GOP was certainly moving in the direction they are at today since Reagan and Gingrich, but Palin was indeed jet fuel that accelerated the dumbing down of the GOP and the “us vs them” mentality that dominates their approach. She also came on the scene when social media, You Tube, and i-devices were starting to take off more broadly, so there’s a huge role with technology and how people consume information and disinformation at play here.
RACISM.... Everything conservatives do is about racism and wanting to retain power. That's literally it, it's why people need to start treating them the way they treat everyone else. They deserve to be fucking spit on in public.
It is rhetorical, a bit. I feel that you answered the question with possibly the most correct answer. With that in mind, the power dynamic in this country, are conservative white people the only people in pursuit of this? For people that have more ethical and moral concerns, is the goal to have the power dynamic destroyed? Balanced?
Lol unfortunately, politicians are shit, but that does not preclude the need to make the choice between which pile of shit to choose
^^^^^^^^^^ Part of the problem. People like this cunt provide nothing to society and just drag all of us down with them.
The problem in this country isn’t the stated racists we have in many government positions in both the federal and local governments, it’s the people that point this out.
I cannot ascribe to the idea, in a society where law is hailed as the leading rule of the land, that people deserve to be spit on because of any particular mode of thought or fulfillment of action, even something as self-serving as the retention of power at the expense of others. Ultimately, punching down doesn’t lend to mutual progress, just an attempt to swing the power in another way.
Law is distributed unevenly and unfairly in the US. People put restitution into their own hands when the system fails to hand it out. Happens throughout history.
This is true; what is the best way to effectuate change in the broken legal system we have today? Sincere question.
There are several motivations for changing power dynamic in the country. For some, it’s a moral or ethical in addressing the original sins of the country. Or others it’s simply tired of being stepped on by oligarchy. Power being held by so few isn’t healthy while the rest of the population is essentially voiceless. Theres also just the practicality of realizing our country and economy is built on a house of cards. It’s in the best interest of everyone to have a more balanced economy where social mobility is achievable.
Absolutely, I agree. The truth of the matter is that figuring out the correct way of handling the broken legal system is difficult. Acknowledging that there is a problem as duc15 stated IS the first step, but everything that follows is a bit subjective. I’m curious - do y’all think discretion should be allowed when applying judgment to a persons crime?
/poorly educated / naive to the world I believe a lot of people voting for the racists who conduct policy could be saved with education, but the GOP is anti education too. Go fucking figure.
It's usually short hand for " I dont like that I cant call black people thugs anymore without getting shit for it"
Nope. I don't blame white men nearly as much. They're protecting the system they built and are trying to maintain control. It's disgusting, but I get it. White women on the other hand, have no excuse since that same system shits all over them, but they still have such an entitled attitude that the majority still voted for it.
No offense, but you're clueless if you don't understand what I'm saying. You need to brush up on the history of white women in this country and their culpability when it comes to racism and even sexism.
Blaming white women over white men has a, uh, tinge of something to it when the men are far more to blame.
Definitely not. People are mad at Michigan for electing Trump (even though he walked in Alabama, Mississippi, etc) only because we know Alabama and Mississippi are garbage but we hope for more of Michigan
Mrs American on FX and Hulu is a really good show related to the culpability of white women in all of this. cate blanchett Sara Paulsen Rose Byrne John Slattery Elisabeth Banks Tracey Ullman it’s really good. All about the women’s lib movement to ratify the ERA versus Phyliss Schlaffly and the beginnings of her movement.
