I guess he wanted to show more range in his vocals this go around (at least compared to their last album which is my only frame of reference), but I really didn't like his voice with the more normal singing style to the point that I was cringing at times, maybe it'll grow on me
go to the history tab on the left hand side of the web version of youtube and remove it from your watch history. that's how your recs are determined
there is a song on there about some kind of beer or something that's kind of weird? otherwise it's a solid melo-death album
you can also do this by clicking the 3 vertical dots to the right of the title on the recs part of your youtube home page and selecting "not interested" or "don't recommend channel" i've thought about doing this to the nuclear blast channel more than once
I don't hate cheese, quite the opposite actually, but that guitar tone is too... digitized. Guitars should sound more like... um... Toby.
Started listening to Rob Halford’s band Fight. The War of Words album is great (feat. a young Satchel from Steel Panther). This is one of my favorites and has a great music video.
Vampire Squid is officially on the Slugdge bandwagon with their new album. 1. Mr. Squidworm 05:21 2. Barracuda Triangle 05:26 3. Algae Season 03:49 4. Battle of the Beta (Becoming the Alpha) 05:10 5. Grudge Harbor 05:36 6. Silence of the Clams 04:55 7. C.C.C.C.C.C.C. 05:58 8. Wharf Heir 04:13 9. Reinventing the Eel 03:25 10. Into the Goo 05:58
Not a very good band btw, it's tech death and core. I understand some of you are into that style, for whatever godawful reason.
looking at this list https://loudwire.com/best-metal-alb...Won7b2Ly-MugJTcgza9se88hRnDVn9RkrfnIRu-fPj7Ks i thought this album art was cool so i look up the album and The story follows a cyborg who travels back in time to the year 0 B.C. to assassinate Jesus Christ
Discovered them during the lock down and can’t get enough of them after this is all over I am going to Denmark and seeing them live
I haven’t heard anything by them that I find to be interesting at all, but they aren’t as bad as Attila, so whatevs. I bet the overlap of Volbeat fans and Five Finger Death Punch fans is pretty significant. How does this thread feel about Candlemass? Been listening to a lot of their stuff lately.
I haven’t listened to all of their discography but I dig the first two records, Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and Nightfall.
https://www.slayathomefest.com/ A virtual metal and art festival next weekend. Interesting idea, will definitely check out since it's free on youtube and soliciting donations for MusiCares. They'll apparently be playing sets from home. Some of the announced acts that are somewhat interesting to me: Tesseract, Allegaeon, Spirit Adrift, Angel Vivaldi, Khemmis, and then some all-star coverband stuff.
Thread feels good about Candlemass. They're not quite Solitude Aeturnus level of awesome, but few are.
