Haha I was watching that yesterday and thought the same thing. It's like when I see a Big Ten Network commercial and Rutgers is actually in it.

Probably because most these teams have the financial backing that small businesses the program was designed for.
A lot of them don’t just have piles of cash laying around to keep payroll and expenses going without revenue. There are way worse examples of businesses taking it that aren’t even shut down.
It's the optics that a professional sports team are viewed to have ownership groups that have a ton of money that could cover and float payroll and expenses. People see their own, family or friends jobs disappearing or their local neighborhood spots closing. They likely feel those places should be helped out instead of a professional sports team. Most people don't understand how a lot of this stuff works.
If you’re a small business, and didn’t apply for it immediately, then that’s your fault. I just don’t see the problem with a company with 47 million in revenue and only a million surplus taking the money. The Sounders group is a bunch of rich people sure, but so are a lot of other small business owners. There were Fortune 500 companies that got more money than the Sounders make in a year, that’s where people should be directing their ire.
I would guess that’d be the 8 team group. But they should of just made TFC #4 since they were in the final last year.
