They are all in My Stash and I could watch any of them again. Paid $49 for all of Mar-Apr. They’re $4.99 each and I’ve already watched more than 10 I think.
Night 13 was the greatest Phish experience of my life. I was also on the most incredible LSD ever though.
Someone recommened the Goose Alive and Well live album. Great listen. Not really my cup of tea anymore. But I enjoyed it.
Goose might have the best lyrics of any band on the scene right now. Hard to describe, but their songs seem to have a certain feeling and poetry to them that other bands can’t or don’t try to capture
Have you guys seen the stories about drive in concerts in Europe? Interesting idea to keep the live music going. Of course, there will be a ton of fucked up wooks wrecking into each other when leaving said venue, but I’m thinking the collateral damage might be worth it.
Holy shit, I didn’t think they would do it. They just got a donation out of me. That’s how you do it fellas.
PHISH, MONDAY 07/21/1997 VIRGINIA BEACH AMPHITHEATER Virginia Beach, VA Soundcheck: Limb By Limb, Twist (several times), Ginseng Sullivan SET 1: Ghost > Dogs Stole Things > Piper, Dirt, Ginseng Sullivan > Bathtub Gin > Character Zero SET 2: Wolfman's Brother -> Magilla > David Bowie, Wading in the Velvet Sea, Theme From the Bottom -> Jam[1] > Funky Bitch[1], Slave to the Traffic Light ENCORE: Loving Cup [1] LeRoi Moore on saxophone. The jam during Bathtub Gin featured Trey jumping up and down in time with a syncopated jam, as well as strong Drowned teases. Near the end of the jam, Trey mentioned how good it was to be back home and named the four newer songs that were played. The beginning of Bowie included a Birdland jam and Wolfman’s included a Bathtub Gin tease. The jam out of Theme, as well as Funky Bitch, featured LeRoi Moore on saxophone. The jam with LeRoi included a segment where he played two saxes, Trey played three guitars, Mike played two basses and the Cracklin’ Rosie cymbals, Fish had four drumsticks and Page was lying across his keyboards playing as many as possible. LeRoi also teased the Woody Woodpecker theme during the jam.
Cameo is just paying celebrities to say stuff in personalized messages. He probably got some notes to go off.
It’s from PTers. They have been hammering Shapiro about 1.0 releases and somebody finally took it all the way to Little Carmine
Live From Out There rebooted another month and moved off of nugs. Have to watch while live then the archives are available the next Wednesday. Anybody like Holly Bowling? If not she is a classically trained pianist but she does shows full of dead and phish songs she has transcribed for solo piano. She really captures the full essence of the music including the lyrics and the jams. Really enjoying her streams.
That Birdland tease was v cool. Don’t believe I’ve ever heard this show before. Ghost opener was a heater
Hi, yes I’m watching. Give this a read as well for context. For us younger heads, it’s crazy to imagine a time without soundboards or AUDs posted online in the next couple of days after the show: https://liveforlivemusic.com/features/phish-dinner-movie-stream-companion-virginia-beach-7-21-97/
I was going through a couple shoeboxes of old shows from high school about a year ago. Pretty much all audience recordings. Absolutely brutal sound quality. But that’s al I knew back then
My first days on a message board were phishhook.com trading CDs. There were some awful sounding shows I traded for.
This appears to be the video feed from the screens on the lawn. So does that mean they have video from all of the 1.0 shows when there was a video feed?
I hope they got a lot of donations tonight. If they want to bribe me with 1.0 material, I’m all for it.
Has Doom Flamingo been discussed in this thread? Started listening last night after they were on 'Andy Frasco's World Saving Podcast'. Probably late to the party but, I'm loving this shit. Ryan Staski's side project that's been playing shows with Umphrey's, female lead vocalist has started singing with Umprehy's, I'm trying to track down a link to the show. https://www.doomflamingo.com/
Hahah nice I honestly watched this poor wookie kid grow up over the years in the lot at widespread panic shows.
I miss live music. Watching the panic stream and I’d really like to be at a show and able to make this face after they drop into a Conrad, Bowlegged, or Henry Parsons
